So within about 2-3 months of having the caddy back, I've set fire to the starter motor, broke the passenger door, broke the radiator, the clutch has gone, the gearbox has seized, theres 2 big cracks in the windscreen and I lost the keys and had the ignition barrel replaced. Christ. I am a liability.

Would be nice if there was at least a months notice to be honest

Well it wasn't definite per se, but they gave strong hints they wanted me to have the full time job haha, now they're suggesting the other blokes getting it- and I asked a friend of mine who I'm close to but is also close to the manager/boss of my store... Hope he never sees this post as he rides trials too haha but probs doesn't matter as the other employees aren't on here. I just want a god damn full time jobbbbbb.

I'm just having a bit of a down that's all really, I don't even notice I'm deaf most of the time and don't let it phase me when I mishear people etc- until shit like this happens haha. I'm not really dwelling on it, just trying to work round it and figure out what to do. I was told I'm probably gonna get the next full-time position that comes along but the one that's coming up is the first one in 3 years... Haha. Martyn can't do the same job now though can he? Me and the other lad are both part time, he's not interested in bikes, he's planning on going back to the Navy at the end of the year, he's a good lad and I'd call him a mate. I've heard he doesn't act like he wants to be at work, and it's not really in the job description, and I can talk on the phone etc but not well enough. Not gonna complain or anything as I don't wanna be a fanny, just annoyed at how many missed opportunities I've had due to being deaf. Dunno what to do really, I'm not the type to let being deaf hold me back but it's really pissing me off recently.

Feeling kinda worthless after being told that a full-time position at my bikehut Halfords is going to a lad who doesn't even like cycling, and isn't as hard working... Just because he can use the phone.

Basically I'm moving bedrooms in my house, the new room is smaller however I won't have my bikes in there so will have space for a small "living area"... And since I have mates over a fair bit, thought a futon mattress would be a good idea to use as a seat/bed when needed... Just wanted to see if anyone had any feedback on these as they seem pretty cheap for about £100 for a triple-seater sofa/bed.
