  1. I've got stikys front and rear which I got 2nd hand. The rear has worn down quite a bit and so is a bit lighter but I find the grip great, although I can only compare it to oldskool IRC El Gatos and Kujos. I think the deal from tartys is a good one though and worth a try!
  2. I remember really wanting an arrowhead but then the heavy tools came out so I bought that instead!
  3. Just a few random pics from back in the day! Ranging from about 10-17 years ago, and not all trials related. Love it!!!
  4. Some photo's I dug out and scanned! My first trials incarnation My 13" specialized rockhopper pre magura and bashring My cousins Azonic And a few pics of me in action and one of my old mates!
  5. I don't like the ones at the top, mainly due to the decals as I was considering getting a stock bow but that put me off. The x ray at the bottom is quite tidy though!
  6. Couple ordered, cheers for the heads up!
  7. Another thing to note as I don't think anyone else has said, drink water, a lot of water. You want to be downing about 2.5l a day from my experience if your not already, it helps a lot. And if you want some decent low price protein have a look on myprotein.co.uk. Thats where I ended up after spending a fortune on all the different brands and found you save quite a bit of cash, plus the ground porridge oats and stuff they sell is good to throw in your shakes to add a bit more carbs and aid the bulk!
  8. I've been struggling with uploading images lately myself, can't do it in a post at work it just comes up with "Error This upload failed" though I'm on some crappy Microsoft server running a hybrid of NT and 98. Tried uploading some pics to my album at home as well on Windows 7 with IE and everytime I click on the button to upload it just refreshes the page.
  9. Is there such thing? Bought this the other day and had a few games last night online. I now remember why I traded World at War in, is it just me or do you need obscenely good eyesight to be able to read the tiny writing on all the screens?? Not impressed to be honest.
  10. Depends on the tyre/rim combo as to whether it could come off really. Don't think there really is an average everyone uses, just down to what feels good for you personally! Think I run about 35-40 in the front and 20-25 in the rear myself.

    Forks

Think he meant no weightsaving holes drilled
  12. I assume you mean the crossover that goes over the wheel?? You can cut it and reattach but the pipe may be too short then which may lead to it splitting if it's stretched too far, and as for pushing the barbed fitting on you'll need some blocks (http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/product.php?product_id=10026&category_id=5) to clamp the hose in tight. I always find warming the hose in a little boiling water does enough to ease it in though you've gotta make sure you tap it in dead straight! I went through about 4 crossover pipes getting it right!
  13. Yeah thats right, or try and pick up a cheap rear disc brake as it may work cheaper than buying a brand new lever!
  14. Have you recently had new cranks and/or BB?? And are they taper or isis?
  15. Yep, was doing it on and off till bout 7.10 and I think I first logged on bout 6.10ish.
  16. I too am in the school of sweating like an animal within 2 mins of doing anything. I can't wear a coat no matter what the weather as I just end up pouring with sweat, I do wear gloves though the missus would prefer if I didn't as after a ride they're soaking wet and absolutely stink the house out, along with my shoes, helmet, etc.....
  17. Ah right, can never quite figure out how the head angle geo works! So with the Born you'd need a longer than normal stem with quite a bit of rise to counter the BB height??

    Films!?

Yeah I understand where your coming from there! As for decent kung fu films I assume you've worked your way through some Bruce Lee films??

    Films!?

Never said it was, just bits like where he's being chased through the streets or the big fight in the fight club and jumps from the upstairs room and stuff are very impressive for real stunts.

    Films!?

First one is definately worth a watch, kind of put Tony Jaa on the map as he did all his stunts and no wires or cgi anywhere which is pretty impressive when you see the kind of stuff that goes on!
  21. Would you say that the Born Ultimatum fits into this then as that's got a 70.5ยบ head angle and the wheelbase looks pretty good??
  22. Another very nice speedrace, though am I alone in thinking the mod frames look very bmx like, especially when run with black rims??!

    Films!?

Watched Percy Jackson and The Lightning Thief yesterday and enjoyed it, was quite good for someone who's never heard of the books or anything. Quite sure Phatmike was one of the bad guys in it as well!!
