  1. I've got one of each and I'd say the SL feels better, the tensile's main plus point is the fact you can easily get spares to completely rebuild it although with the SL you'll never have to!
  2. Yeah I'm not trying to find who's got the lightest bike or owt just wondered what the average is. I'm more concerned about funcionality than anything, if it does the job for me it's perfect but I got the opportunity to weigh my mod so I thought I'd just see how it compares when I built it with no thought about lightweight components whatsoever!
  3. Both my shins are just recovering from being absolutley battered, ended up ordering some 661 veggie shinguards which make me look like a berk with shorts on but if they do the job it'll be worth it!
  4. Seems a bit weird that the dropout spacing is 116mm on a stock? Do any other manufacturers do that?
  5. Just swapped my dodgy standard hope 160 disc for a shiny 180 one off ebay!

  6. We still gonna try for a buxton ride sometime then?? Not sure what you'd be able to ride with no brakes though?!
  7. These are the best tips you'll get to be honest, just keep practicing hopping on the spot until you're comfortable with it and you find your balance. And the pedalling-braking by the martins on their tricks and stunts vid is probably the best way of learning to pedal hop forwards that I've seen. If you haven't seen the dvd have a search on amazon for it!
  8. Very nice, quality bit of kit for having a play if you've not got time the time/effort to go anywhere. Hope you don't mind but I'm gonna download that, very useful for watching in slow mo so I can pick up some tips on gaps to front an stuff like that!
  9. I must be doing something wrong, tried loads of different combos and couldn't find a thing! Cheers!!
  10. Just wondered what the average kind of weight is for peoples bikes on here? I know there's a few riders who are obsessed with keeping it as low as possible whereas some people concentrate more on strength, not checked my stock yet but weighed my Python yesterday and it came out around 11.3kg. Not sure if this is high or low but it was built more as a starter bike to take some hammer so I wasn't that concerned at the time but in the future I'll probably look at lighter parts when things break or need upgrading. What does yours weigh?

Damn thats a cow, can't you ride in the rain? I'm sure if you have a maggie it will cope, but i'm keeping my fingers crossed that this rain is going to let up. Check on accuweather.co.uk to see if the rain is going to stop where you are man

No so much the rain that bothers me it's the fact all the walls an stuff round here get slippy as hell when they're wet so can't do anything!

Oh well, another 2hr MW2 sesh on the cards!

  15. Combat shorts with button pockets and a vest do it for me, still sweat like a cornered virgin though!
  16. Gonna get a quick hour on the bike after work and then a monster MW2 session tonight when the missus goes out!

  17. Possibly the best 2 things about growing up in the 80's! And all the toys that went with them, still got loads of my original gen 1 transformers!

    Films!?

Wasn't a fan of the lovely bones, luckily my missus wasn't either so won't have to sit through that again! Anyone seen Solomon Kane? Watched it the other night and thought it was quality!
  19. When you misspell something it's a typo as you're typing
  20. Ali I think thats a bit too much information when there's youngsters about! Besides, it's rude to talk with your mouth full!!
  21. Probably not as hope hubs are designed for 26" frames which have a larger axle compared to mods. 26" take a 135mm hub and 20" take a 116mm.
  22. Yeah I've had to remove that from loads of peoples laptops for them but it's completely f****d my auntie's up. That's Vista for you though, never had anyone with it on XP or windows 7!
