Have 180 on my pure trials and 203 on my street bike... Both on the front. Pure trials 180mm rotor with Jitsie pads- Great on off, not so great feeling when going very fast- the whole bike doesn't feel very good when going very fast, so I'll take the little less weight. Street trials with Chinese no name performance pads- great on off feeling and modulation, especially at speed. Makes you want to just do nose manuals all day. both are bbdb/ sd7 / odyssey linear slic. there is a change in power when it comes to high speed things.

constructive criticism- Watch any other trials videos. People like to see what is going on, not how the riders shoes look or how the tire is folding. Step back 3 yards on each shot, or use a wider angle lens. Encompass not only the entire riders body, but the rocks he is gapping to and from, or going up. A whole picture would be nice. jack is an amazing rider, pioneered the terrible bars and rides that bike like it should be ridden. Can't say I know any other pro that rides a pogo stick that is actually interesting to watch... Major style points

Wow I think that SICK PRODUCTIONZZ should win an award for this video! An award for the first filmer to make that natural place that my Americanness has aways been drooling over look completely boring. Worst filming of any biketrials footage I've ever seen. Really impressed he can do all that on just one slice of toast. If Jack left his phone on a rock filming himself for 5 minutes it would have been more appreciated. Did they speed up the part where he goes into a hook? Looks like he gets super speed from no pedaling, but I'm not going to watch it again to check.

No idea about mods. my +70?80? 26" Gu cannot handle the balance lines that my +20? Hex can with ease... Both wheels on ground, Rollin forward- think trying to balance while riding a rail. The hex excels at this, the gu just wants to gap 3m past the rail and is very awkward while balancing on both wheels.

I would replace "stock" with "pogo stick" in that sentence. Most people (around 98.99%) look like total mongoloids on these new cheater bikes, elite riders included. Ross you and the thread starter belong to the 1.01 % of people who ride 26" pogo sticks nicely. Looking good and smooth, not like you're straining your body to do a big excell long division problem.

Looking forward to it, not sure why there is a teaser but perhaps that's where the mastermindz at PRO PRODUCTIONZZ came in. would enjoy just watching cell phone footage of carthy.. Also do wish to see his training regiment, those squats look like 1/4 ROM

As I said on oTN this vid made me start trying static spins to my opposite way that I've been doing for 17 years.. Man is it a mindf**k. just back from a ride where I tried balance fun things, just a skinny 8" high set of walls as my train tracks have trains on them every 3 minutes. So fun.. So hard... Beautiful place to ride and great filming, just a shame about the unicycle. happy to be living in a country where Unicycle trials is illegal and banned, punishable by death.

Been pining over this bike since it came out... Finally got it in my grasps, marks the first time I have a street and a comp bike fully built up...doubt I will ride the gu again this year, this is far too fun to ride. Included a picture of me mate manualing his console yesterday to show you our terribly cold weather... Have to wear a lot of sunblock, it's rough- I don't wear shorts and was too hot.

Everyone has great points here. but I think what we all want is more raw Matt Staples, Trialskings and David Sellero footage. Sadly not even the red bull poison corporate champs have invented a time machine.

Is that his bike or another contender for ugliest bike in the world? The one in the video was uglier, maybe when the wheels move it makes it look like an inverted tron pedalcycle. Looks are all subjective, I would take that bike if someone gave it to me. As i have duck tape and spray paint to right the wrongs cycling industries try to lay on us.

Insane woods, I would love to ride there... And subsequently smack into a tree. He he wins the ugliest bike in the universe award.

hilarious take on frenchies if you ask me.. Their street "style" is the worst thing to ever happen to trials. The spin with the bars no foot thing is worse than double footjam whips if you ask me

Ah understood... To me "more grunt" means more power, which a 175 has with the extra leverage. Did not take it to mean more grunt = feels harder. Makes sense. 22-18 w 175 this week on 26" wheels... Looking forward to going back to real cranks and off this ffw bullsh...

Def lighter and stronger... wouldn't 175 be "more grunt" ? About to try 22-18 (1.22-) and that's the tiniest bit heavier than my usual 18-15 (1.2); 22-16 (1.375) sounds like a "hard" gear for my slow style..you go really really fast.

Why do you prefer 170mm cranks?
