copied and pasted from the inspired v pads on tartybikes: Recommended Use Smooth or chrome rim, dry weather, with or without tar. check out the pad reviews section to see if anyone had used the same pads with a grind, or just thier general opinion of them.

haha he has, and theres been plenty of chat on exactly this subject with him in other posts! still, his advert is out, unless a mod can delete the post all together? -
nice pictures, theres a ride with a few of us this saturday coming if youve seen the post, would be good to have you along!

I really dont see where the problem is?! If someone wants to use the forum just to sell a bike...its purely for thier own gain, theres always ebay... If however someone wants to contribute to chat too...after a couple of decent replies (you dont even need to make a topic) you'll get the votes and be able to use the full forum anyway? It really is that easy if you follow the guidelines/rules and peoples advice As for the reasons behind it, have you noticed the difference between the new members and full members forum areas? (just the trails chat one). Its pretty noticeable...the fact there is such a difference is as good a reason as any to kep the system in place, It makes the information all the more accesible when the forum isnt clogged up with daft repeated questions and other nonsense. Dictatorship? you dont want to talk about trials....im sure there is a community somewhere online who is happy to talk about whatever youd like to talk about? Trials Forum understandably has a slight bias towards trials related chat...(unless youre refering to the chit-chat section, which you can easily gain access too as noted above) You could say it was like kindergarten getting a gold star, or perhaps like any other aspect of adult life where you need to make a little effort to stand out to finally get where you want....do you throw the same hissy fit at a job interview? the forum im guessing just wants to maintain the pretty high standard of knowledge and understanding about the sport, needs must.

come along...ive only been riding just over a month so you wount be the only beginner there!

What Psi Should Your Tires Be.

bloody bold/italic issues! sorry i re-worded what i thought you were should be meaning -
im glad im not alone in this, took a little time....id still be lost if it wasnt for that trials game on miniclip!
-
can you be more specific?! better to ride on mod or stock (or both)? i can predict alot of answers pointing out the use of the search function, or the obvious 'personal preference', to to try and avoid that...how about adding some more to the question... risers are definately seeming to be a pretty popular call for most people from what i gather on here, but is there...(if any) advantages/disadvantages to either for certain styles/moves/heights of rider/frames etc etc ?
-
awesome, riding was so smooth... biggest thing for me though was the filming of it, can only imagine how a trials version would look
-
+1 and then some this should be put in huge bold letters somewhere clear for new members - it would save them endless abuse, along with a link to 'how to use the search function' (or how to click next page in the main topic page as davey mentioned) you guys are just setting yourselfs up for negative comments right from the outset! there must be some sort of computer literacy to get yourselves to this site, signed up, and posted. no excuse really perhaps tom can update the 'new members - read this FIRST' post? - perhaps just include a couple of the unwritten 'rules' to guide new members in the right direction, and give then an easier time

true...to a point i think... a question as unspecific and un-thought out as this topic is bound to get some negative response though....i tried to help the guy, spend time writing out what i thought was a helpful and thought out comment, and i get one line reply with some daft comment! of course you cant say that about every topic. noone minds questions like these when they are specific to the rider, or if the poster has made a little amount of effort to try and find out the question themselves (just a little! - as the guidelines suggest) its all very well finding posts about the topic...but it can be tricky to find the reply that actually suits you. im sure ive made a few topics that the answer may be hidden away in some old topic. -

What Psi Should Your Tires Be.

to be fair, i just scrolled through..and didnt find one reply that accused the topic of being stupid?! the only comments are referring to the fact the same question has been asked a number of times before (going on the guidlines and peoples advice) if you were to post the same question but with some more depth, or being more specific, it would have perhaps been recieved a little better? it is of course a personal preference, and im sure you knew that with just a couple of searches on here or google....views on tyre pressure may differ from rider to rider depending on what sort of riding they are doing that day, what setup they are using, tyres, a specific move, or none of the mentioned! there may be advantages/disadvantages of higher/lower pressure again depending on the above...that could also influence your decision! so when posting future topics, try and be as specific as possible to try and help you and your specific style of riding...members are more than happy to help, trust me -
woooo just got it off, and not needing to be up till half 8 sunday! weather better hold out... whos bringing a camera?

some sweeping statements coming out here!! if its any consolation, ive been on here for a short while and posted a fair amount...never had a problem yet! i think most of the time its not a case of people being 'knobs', alot of people on here just dont suffer fools lightly...at the end of the day though, its the same guys (and girls?!) who have a huge amount of knowledge to help you as and when you need it...just need to play the game, read the guidelines and follow where possible -
ahh...i gathered from his post that he had a relatively good grasp on the english language? better than a good amount of the premembers on here id also deduct that if he can converse enough to reply to potential buyers questions, and in theory (after following your advice) make constructive posts to become validated, this would also suggest he has the ability to read the guidelines? failing that, its a catch 22 situation
-
failing to read the pre-members rules/guides will probably mean you'll be waiting a hell of a lot longer also, im sure all the members will be glad to hear you explaining the basics of the forum...
-
im there (just need to get someone to cover my shift!) drinks after...
-
+ another 1 especially to the bit about classification of riding in general
-
just the advice i was looking for...thanks!
