  1. with an attitude like that it'll be a long while before your selling anything on here my oh so subtle hints towards you reading the 'read this first' and new members guidelines are perhpas the best pieces of advice you could get at this stage perhaps the slightly less subtle hint of needing a little more detail in the question was another piece of advice you failed to take on board. if you want advice on making a bike perfect for you, you could do with saying what you are currently running...how it currently feels, and what you are wanting 'feel' wise any of that reply going to be an issue for you?
  2. why?! whats the rush... people will notice that after complaining about validation...youve just posted a load of new topics asking for advice, though it does come across like youre just making conversation rather than really wanting the answer... as for your stem choice...you may need to be a little clearer (as the 'read this first' and new member guidelines recommend)
  3. oh no! the rule was that you have to make 10 posts without complaining! back to the beginning
  4. "they" do easily have the resources to monitor such behaviour online etc, to come into a high risk catagory is something different altogether. it doesnt take away the fact that monitoring has gone on. such things would never be used as evidence in court. it is just a flagging system that can point to indiviuals/groups/areas and give an idea to "them" where to start looking for intel. terrorism is tackled in a comparitively similar way to a a large illegal drups operation, involving months or longer of preparation and evidence gathering before anything (if anything is going to happen) is done about it. alot of the stuff goes on right underneath our noses, and understandably almost noone really knows quite how much goes on.
  5. yes, im yet to use them on a proper grind but even on an essentially scratched rim, they hold up pretty well in nice dry conditions when they are clean etc if you check out the pad reviews on the forum, they are amongst the popular pad choices but if you are going to keep a smooth rim, id recommend you go for a specific pad for that...all the information should be on that post the tarty pads arent bad dont get me wrong. i can imagine with a decent grind they'd hold up ok
  6. noone suggested that searching for it was illeagal, only that after repeated searches of that and similar content would probably flag something where some computer program will perform a risk assesment of that user...something relatively simple like that as for the information they share, there will no doubt be arrangements with god knows how many internet search engines, email providers etc for exactly that sort of information...i dont know the ins and outs of how someone would go about monitoring the internet, but it will be happening...warrant or not as for being a serious threat to the public, youd be surprised at the simple mistakes made by such people. extreme activists are known to prey on those with substantial learning difficulties so it wouldnt be that far fetched
  7. http://www.trials-forum.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=148662 just a couple of topics down...youd be surprised at the responces!
  8. im a little lost...even after scrolling up and down a few times!? you have a left hand lever just now...is that a lever you are currently using for your rear (or front if euro) brake? or is it a lever you already have but are not using....sorry its been a long day!! the link that alexdark posted is what you are looking for...the hope mini/mono trial lever for the right hand side. the resovoir cap is NOT cross compatible for between left/right hand levers.
  9. ah right....if you cant pm, feel free to message me on msn if you want them....will cost you the price of postage and a pint though if you are running a smooth rim....hmmm, they are ok but they do slip...i upgraded to CNC rockman blues and i noticed quite a difference, still yet to stick a proper grind on as the first time i just removed the paint! your call....
  10. as TomR pointed out, its more along the lines of the 'anarchists cookbook' type things that definatly do bring about some attention....'uncle fester' or some american site with a very similar name created a very warped home scientist was a popular one recently as for getting supplies...worringly if you were of that persuasion, youd barely need to make any efforts to seach for the supplies youd need...but that sort of behaviour definately will get you some unwanted attention!
  11. im not too sure if running it upside down will work....with it being an open system, would there be a chance of any air rising to the bottom of the reservoir then getting into the lines? as for a bleeding kit...the only kit you need really is a some plastic tubing to attach to the bleed nipple, and ideally a bit of assistance. takes no time at all to do and is pretty fool proof....
  12. im selling them...barely used! http://www.trials-forum.co.uk/index.php?showtopic=147995&pid=2085487&st=0&#entry2085487
  13. the 'flags' will go up after certain words in searches and emails on a number of occasions, certain websites visited etc....its not all that complex for a computer to determine the risk of a particular person
  14. kept Google searching "I want to bomb America" etc - does imply regular and related searches, and it doesnt need much to flag up a little bit of interest, even if it is just google. so....i take it part of it back, rather than a visit....you would have someone keep an eye on you as for the billions of internet users...things like this are obviously monitored by a computer, not some internet security guard!
  15. what was the frame, and how bad was the dent? what was it dented on?
  16. not only is it dependant on other technologies, its heavily reliant on the 'inventor' to be as clued up on how the intricate parts work...and not just have the idea of the concept itself. personally, id have gone back repeatedly to each time there was some 'prophet' with some idea that they were the chosen one...steal their idea, soon after...let my new 'following' know that it was just a bit of a brainwash (id apologise) with some sleight of hand tricks...everythings forgotten within a few weeks, job done.
  17. how did you put them on in the first place? id say take them off...give them a decent wash in soapy water...clean your bar ends and get any grease or other residue off, then when its dry, enjoy the long and calus forming task of putting them back on! if they are anything like the trialtechs, they are a sod to get on when clean/dry but they dont move in the slightest
  18. haha, though it wouldnt be the FBI, you would be paid a visit
  19. from that point, fair enough.....im only quoting others and going by what ive read. ive not been doing trials for long enough to know from experience whether any distortions in the frame would create weak areas more prone to breaking. edit* and if indeed it turns out that the dents very rarely put a frame out of action, it nulifies a large amount of comments made throughout this thread...making the armadillo almost purely for asthetics for most people
  20. thanks, but from looking back at the spec, it was a Trialtech Z610 Kool chain that i had....and it was the K710 that i managed to find in the LBS but havnt been able to use yet. Will see how that holds up when i eventually get the spacers i have either side of the wheel (they seem to be just a fraction out size wise, needing a rat tail). the circlip comes out fine, i was just wary of whether it would give me enough space to stick the washers in, and then be able to replace it afterwards! everyones said it should be fine though so ive got faith...
  21. theres reason why so many stick with the hs33's!! if possible stick with it...when the problems fixed, it should be sorted for a good while if youre are doing water bleeds, try adding quite a bit of regular food colouring...pretty cheap, and hopefully should make it pretty clear where the leak is! when you know whats up, im sure theres a whole load of advice depending on what it is
  22. they are indeed shite....that explains why they are one of the most popular 135 hubs...
  23. it is indeed the first, but dont let the heartless b**ch know she's won!! "didnt really need time for that wound to heal, just a good ride..." maybe my own issues coming out....nice idea though
