  5. i guess it could work, theres quit a bit of room in the chain stay so i dont see why it wouldnt, only thing is that it would make the bb a bit higher but apart from that i cant see a problem with doing it. chris
  6. done it now and have realised how sh*t the fsa pig is haha, thoguht ot had sealed bearing but the ball bearing whent everywhere and i cant find some of the balls so gunna have to get a new headset, what a shame haha thanks everyone for your help, just gave it some realy hard smacks in the end haha chris
  7. have smacked them numurous times with a metal hammer and they havnt moved at all, seems like they have rusted in and wont move but they havnt, no sighns of rust and wont be rusty, kept inside and washed regulary anyone else got any ideas ? would it work to heat the head tube up so it expands and then pull the forks out ? was thinking of spraying it soon anyway haha chris
  8. i hit it once with a metal hammer but it just bured the edge of it because there crap ashton forks, will try it with a piece of wodd on top so it dosnt mark them chris
  9. just tryed it and the ring wont move at all, wont even come apart because its presed down and pushing up against the bearing, looks like its been overtightened chris
  10. got new forks in the post this morning so whent to fit them and cant get the old ones off, have hit them with a rubber mallet and there was no movement at all, the forks are in an ashton effect frame with a fsa pig headset, any ideas on how to get them out ? am i doing something wrong ? is there something i have to take off first apart from stem, spacers, ect. ? chris
  11. love the old colour and the new one looks great chris
  12. what time are you around in swindon ? do you know bradley garlick (hampshire) ? because he has been saying about meeting you so i could meet you through the week with him chris
  13. good riding i would just say you need to knock it up a gear or 2 in some parts, sounded like the bike was working a bit to hard, try using a higher gear and using the clutch, will give you alot more control and will make it alot smoother but good riding chris
  14. just got a load of new parts for my bike and need to ride with them properly so is anyone around in swindon saturday lunch time ? chris
  15. you might be able to, depends on your chainstay length and gearing, but the chain will start off tight but then after a while it will go slack from where it stretches, but you could just make a spoke tensioner look at picture six, not realy the guy to talk to about making them so have a look on the search bar on how to make one chris
  16. to make it single speed you can just take you derallier off and put a chain tesioner on but the best thing to do would be to buy a spacer kit http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/splined_sprockets/trialtech_single_speed_spacer_kit/c28p10341.html get a new rear sprocket http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/splined_sprockets/c28.html and a chain tensioner http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/sprung_tensioners/c48.html i would reccomend a two wheel tensioner because it will give you better chain rap and better tension, with all of this you would be able to put it all on, shorten your chain a little bit and be ready to ride single speed you will have to work out what gearing you want, im not sure what gearing people use on a stock because i ride 24" but i would find a gear on your bike that you find comfatable on, count the amount of teeth on the rear sprocket and then buy a sprocket that size. as for your bars, what size diamater are they ? if there 31.8mm then your bars will fit that stem fine. hope i helped chris
  17. middleburns isis would be best, depends what bottom bracket you have got though, is your bottom bracket a square taper or isis ? check this before you buy any cranks because you will have some nice new cranks and wont be able to use them and then a new bb will just be more exspense chris
  18. yes gears is normal but most people use single speed now because its alot lighter and looks better in my opinion, from what i know the old zoot frames are prety good, they have the same geometry as the first inspired fourplay i think and from what i would guess there a prety solid frame, i havnt realy heard bad things about onza frames, if you do buy it though, the first thing you might want to do if it hasnt already got them changed a new set of pads, good ones like rockmans, tnn or heatsink and maybe a grind on your rim and then making it single speed if you have the money. hope this helps chris
  19. new video coming very soon, just waiting for new parts to arrive :P

  20. i know what you meen, its ment to sit flat, it sounds like you might have the clamps upside down so there not sitting into the frame properly, try taking the clamps off and turning them the other way, see if it works. look at some pictures on google images or of bikes on here and see what they look like and just compare yours with it, like spot the difference hope i helped chris.
  21. have you looked at these ? http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=12379 havnt used one but they look prety good, hard side walls, soft compound, and prety cheap. chris
  22. well i am set on getting some inspired rims after christmas for my 24" because if they come standard on the inspired hex and fourplay team then there not going to be bad rims, looking at the abuse ali c gives them i dont think you can realy go wrong, there not cheap eathier. from what i have seen and heard of trial tech products they are prety solid, never owned any triltech parts but many big named riders use trial tech (ali c, rowan johns, ect.) so i dont think you can realy go very wrong with that set up, you could get a second hand fourplay with a better spec for the same price but it wont be new (new is best ) but if you go second hand i would agree with everyone with the hubs (hope pro2s or kings) hope this helped chris
  23. just some mid top skating shoes, i dont think there any paticular shoes used for street trials, just use flat bottom shoes that you find comfy cant go wrong to be honest, i like etnies, they have a prety strong structure and have lasted me ages. hope this helps chris
