  1. Hiya, thanks for the friend add - you are just down the road from me...where do you ride?

  2. I've been doing trials on and off for 12/13 years and got back into it seriously recently. I can do the basic moves and some decent drops and I love doing 360 endos off walls but try as I might I just cannot get some of the basics dialled like hopping on the back wheel for as long as I like and pedal kicking/hopping forwards on the back wheel. We all know how frustrating it is but I try and do at least one new thing every day or do 1 thing well...get some satisfaction out of that. I got on a picnic bench for the first time yesterday...loved it...realised I didn't know how to get down! ) Don't let it get you down and don't judge yourself by other people's standards!
  3. The brake spray is pretty sweet I was struggling to find tar too and don't fancy grinding just yet... Well worth a fiver just don't use too much as it makes a heck of a difference!
  4. Does it make a big difference when setting the brakes up...? Mine keep misaligning when I nip up the bolts so I wonder if I need to do it
  5. Oooh sparkly! I'll be having a crack at that!
  6. Practice! Just try different glancing points and try hopping on the spot... Then try beating your number of hops! I'm the same to be honest but you get a bit better each day.
  7. Maybe something like an Identiti frame? I've always fancied building up a dr Jekyll!
  8. Start to worry when your tyres bottom out when you get on your bike haha
  9. Lovely geom, must feel like a pogo stick on the back wheel
  10. Yeah I've been doing this too, kind of a happy medium!
  11. Not sure really I had a ride for an hour and one spray was still working a treat... Well worth a fiver and less daunting than a grind
  12. Hiya, I got a message saying you had sent me a private message but can't access it due to not being a full member yet - what did it say?

  13. Yeah I've done similar with a metal ruler... Good tip!
  14. Ive invested in some new pads so when they arrive I am going to take them apart and inspect everything before putting them together and setting them up...might try and fashion some sort of stand for the bike to make things easier. Just need to stop being so pathetic...no matter how hard I try I am no good at anything remotely technical!
  15. Ignore me...I remembered! Quality tune
  16. Haha I know and that is what makes it so frustrating that I can't get it right...
  17. I just bought some of this from the boys at Tarty as I couldn't be bothered hunting out tar. I've always just used smooth rims and currently run the magura black pads (not for much longer). I bought some thinking it may work it may not and applied some to my rim today and had a whirl...WOW! I couldn't believe how much the brakes locked up, I think I added too much but the performance increased 10 fold...so solid! I dread to think what a grind and some decent pads would be like! 1 happy consumer!
  18. Wheres it from Eskimo? It's awesome and sounds familiar!
  19. Then what do you do when you have tightened the bolts? Would this mean that the pads were right on your rim and you got serious amounts of rub?
  20. Just the standard Magura clamps I think... would the fact that the booster is on there make any difference? Should I set them up without it on first?
