  1. We've had a couple of inches so went sledging at this dam wall near us. This is a couple of Vids from it, listen out for the crunch on the first video God knows how he didn't break his legs...
  2. www.tartybikes.co.uk <---- Easily the best for trials bits
  3. Cheers guys! That shimano one sounds liek the one then
  4. Im looking to get a new bottom bracket for Christmas. Looking at Tarty they all seem to be similar prices/ very reasonable. Is there much difference between the Onza one at £12 or is it worth splashing out on the neon Carbon one for a MASSIVE £22? I.e. will it last for considerably longer? Cheers Chris
  5. There might still be that possibility, we'll have to see
  6. Iv got contact with him and he seems pretty genuine i.e. putting way to much effort into getting in touch and sending messages to me even though he's got my money -If he were scamming me I assume he wouldn't bother once he'd go the money. So fingers crossed!
  7. Things might be looking up! I now have contact with him!
  8. Hey, I brought an Xbox off Pinkbike, paid up £140 and have not received it. I was a F*****g idiot in many ways, I paid through bank transfer rather than Paypal and I didn't check the number he gave me, upon ringing this number it is apparent it isn't in use. The messages he sent me seemed very convincing, however it has been about 10 days since he should have posted it and he now has a scammer warning next to the messages iv been sending. (His PB name is 'technohead' if A) anyone knows him Stay the f**k away from him) Anyway, Has this happened to anyone before? / Is there anyway I can get my money back? Cheers, Chris
  9. I know this is one hell of a bump, but is this still happening?
  10. http://www.hayesdiscbrake.com/support/heritage-products/ The genius of google...
  11. Thanks for pointing this out, just brought 2
  12. I was going to get a new one (Until I found a second hand one dirt cheap) and the best place i found was www.very.com. Apparently you get £25 off your first order and if you go through quidco.co.uk you get like 8% cash back so it works out pretty cheap
  13. My mates dad brought him a mini, they did it up however, now he can actually learn to drive he cant insure it. The cheapest quote was £3000
  14. I brought some cranks/ freewheel and fitted them earlier. However because the new freewheel has less teeth my chain tugs obviously have to be further back along the dropout than they were before. This then means my rear brake (HS33) is on the tyre and it cant be moved down in the clamps at all. I know the obvious way to fix this is to remove some links but I wanted to make sure there isn't a quick fix before I start taking to bits??
  15. Not sure what they fixed it with but it worked for about 6 months then it died again :/ and because its not red ring its not covered by any warranty + its ancient.
  16. Thanks for the replies I'm going to dig out the receipt and see what they say and if they wont fix it for free il see whether Microsoft will. LOL. Failing all that I spose' I might splash out for a new one 'Saw an advert in game for a console and black ops for £99 today' any chance of link?
  17. My xbox broke about 6months ago, it started up ok, no RROD, usual xbox whirr, loading sound, however it had no video...which is a slight issue. I got it fixed by some shop and now its happened again, but I don't want to fork out another £30 to get it fixed. Iv seen loads of instructional's on how to fix it but iv not found any which look that great and the proper ones have to be paid for :/ Long story cut short... does anyone have a link to a decent instructional that I can follow to fix it? Cheers
  18. I had http://www.jejamescycles.co.uk/barracuda-colt-arctic-white-mountain-bike-id52706.html which did me really well + you'd have a lot of spare cash for upgrading the forks which were a bit naff however they did me fine doing various tracks around the peak district, I wouldn't have upgraded but I got offered a very nice bike incredibly cheaply
  19. Look for like hydration pack things, a lot of those are great for small amounts of stuff and you have the choice of having the bladder in or out My cousin uses something like this... http://www.decathlon.co.uk/EN/rockrider-c2-hydration-bag-118887704/ which is perfect
  20. Very Little I'm trying to save my money for driving + iv got about £150 worth of repairs to do on my 'proper' bike so some dirt cheap second hand cranks looks like the way to go
  21. Cheers My cranks at the moment come loose really easily and just wobble around, so im assuming that's the square taper on the crank arm then?

    Cranks

I know this is going to sound really 'noobie' but... Could someone explain about cranks? What do the different sizes do? Can they all use a FFW? Etc I need to try and find some new (Well second hand) ones and I have no idea where to start Thanks
  23. Hi, might be interested in the cranks :) any chance of having a pic of it?

  24. Yeah I guess that would work Mine felt distinctly creaky on one side so I didn't need to try and work out which side it was, it was the drive side that went on mine. My dad was saying its something to do with the BB being steel and the crank being aluminium which is obviously softer; so it deforms eaiser.
  25. I had this really really badly a bit ago. I think we found out the reason for it was the crank arm had become loose/ deformed or something. I fixed it be using some sticky back aluminium tape and did a few layers of that over the end end of the BB arm bit. When I put everything back together it was returned to its former glory
