  1. To avoid bending them in future, I highly recommend you use a trick I found in mototrials. I have my magura tightened just enough to stop it rotating on the bar when in use, but slack enough to allow it to move if hit when I bail. You can then just pull it round to its normal position and your brake will have suffered cosmetical damage at most. Have saved so many maggie bodys with this trick
  2. fair enough mate. Sweet bike! New echo frames look so nice.
  3. Bashring for sure. Ive always ran one since I started and dont think I would change. Ive seen numerous Mounts crack, plates snap and mounting bolts snap with a bash plate setup.. Bashring is defo win in my opinion. Looks neater, its lighter, and protects your freewheel from sideways knocks, that a plate doesn't
  4. Not a fan of Try-All forks in general. I have found the alu version flexy, and snap happy. Steerer tube and fork legs need to be thicker. Would be interesting to see how the 'Karbon Koncept' forks turn out, but I know I wont be buying some. 4-bolt option does sound scary. Can see them breaking quite quickly
  5. Any news on how the Echo Disc brake is performing? Would love to buy the 2011 lite that comes with them front and rear. Will probs put maggie up back but would be nice to know its got good performance for front moves!
  6. may be able to get through. Depends what time I can get there for.
  7. I must have been very lucky. Around 2 years ago I ordered my neon frame from them, and got it within a week or two..... In the wrong colour! Never ordering from them again. My advice is to steer clear. Can't see why you would order from anyone without Tartybikes as a priority with the service they provide.
  8. Very very nice. Polished lever bodies? Look good!
  9. Echo SL brake + maggie slaves = win. More inwards adjustability with maggie slaves
  10. When they say they work best on grinds, thats there intended use. They may work on a smooth rim, but the Tarty lads know their stuff. 'trial' and error Grinds win every time anyway
  11. They are the same chain if I'm correct. I was wondering the same thing. Held them side by side and they are identical.
  12. Light grind, with or without booster (preference) and Heatsink Yellows in the Cnc backings. Honestly the best pad ive used.
  13. Crazy man haha. I got hold of a set of echo lites so I'm happy. Do want Urbans though to go front maggie.
  14. If your a light weight rider and dont do heavy big riding, then there's no problem at all with Try-All forks. If your a bit of a TGS maniac like me, urbans, Trialtechs or Echo lites! I know not to trust Try-all forks for TGS. I snapped mine in under 6 months around the steerer tube, and turns out they were cracked around the top of the left leg.
  15. Any reviews on the 2011 Echo Lite? Would add another option and I'd love one My 06 python looks well shabby now and fancy something lighter and shorter.
  16. +1! Fed up of sitting inside. Can't wait to chill outside in summer by the BBQ with a few Stellas! And being able to ride when I want and not when the weather dictates
  17. the decent deng stuff seems to be his hubs, cranks, bb and freewheels nowadays. Bars and stem, headsets too. But I dont trust or like the quality of the Zoo and Echo Frames from 08 onwards. What happened to frames like the 06 Python, 07 Czar and 07 Gu typhoons? Qualitly frames, strong as f*ck and nice to ride. This is the reason I only run an echo hub, freewheel and bashring. The rest is trialtech, hope and try-all. Pull your finger out deng and bring out some older designs again. Made well, made strong, with modern Geos to suit. Would be much appreciated. This includes pedals. Shouldn't realy crack that easily. I'm running pedals half the price and have been used on 3 different bikes now. Get it sorted edit: Just noted my user name. Irony!
  18. No buying or selling in Trials Chat or NMC. Read the rules and Guidlines.
