  1. What an arse! Could have sworn I was on Trials Chat. Sorry guys! Embarrased much haha
  2. Its coming up to that time, where my front tyre really could do with being replaced. I can grab one of these from Halfords whenever. Never had any experience with them though. Yay or Nay to buying it?
  3. If your after out and out strength, go for a Gusset Tank . Only a tenner and mines lasted me nearly 7 months hard TGS abuse. This involves landing hard on the chain. May be heavy but you have to sacrifice somethings for what you want.
  4. These frames ride like an absolute dream. My brothers got one and I think Im going to be taking it next time I'm up a Shipley Glen rides natty much better than my long and low Python. Looks like youve got this dialled! Sweet
  5. If you have the time, and the tools, you have nothing to loose. It will make your brakes easier to set up, they will be set squarely and in turn your brake performance should increase. Only takes about 5 - 10 mins
  6. Ice 24! I think I've seen one of those on the forum. Looked sweet. Like the sound of a new Ice mod too
  7. Out of interest dan, what disc do you use in your grinder? I could never seem to get a decent grind with the TNNs. And would like to know as I'm wanting to use them again
  8. 05 Magura Hs33, 4 finger lever water bleed TNN clamp and booster system TNN Lgms. HARSH grind! Win
  9. The Onza integrated ones. They are brilliant
  10. Ok. I'm just asking around. I'd love to have black wheels, but I havent had my trialtechs long and can't justify changing them. I've got an old echo urban, but its in 36h and I can't find a fixed 116mm 36h hub anywhere!
  11. Well silver wheels appeal to me too. What would I have to do to give them a good finish?. Would l have to strip the paint, and then use progressivly finer grade wet and dry or emery cloth?. But I'm new to this so I'm guessing. And would I have to laquer them? If theres a good way of doing this that gives brilliant results Im keen to know!
  12. Im looking to get my rims anodized, as I'm wanting black wheels instead of my current green ones (powdercoat). I love the look of anodised black. Is it possible, and if so where around Lincolnshire would this be able to be done? And how much it will cost me Thanks in adavance!
  13. I knew he had a shop! I was right
  14. Hi Le. Ive decided im going to give my Tnn LGMs another go. Would a harsh grind be suitable for these pads? I'm looking for maxiumum performance as against wear life. Will a metal cutting disc allow me to go deep enough while keeping the grind sharp? Rim is a TrialTech sport. Cheers
  15. My Try All stems been brilliant while experimenting with more natural. Comfy, good geo and feels solid. I'm returning to pure TGS though so a low Echo stems replacing it
  16. Maybe not so much from the master cylinder, but know a few people who's slaves have leaked on newer models
  17. you could give it a go, but theres a chance that the water will leak out of the slaves. If your adamant on running water, replace the echo slaves for magura slaves. And yes, you can rebleed with oil after with no problems. If you do it with a syringe just make sure that ALL of the water is pushed out and replaced by pure oil.
  18. Sounds fairly promising then! Ive seen on the Echo site that there is an SL disc brake of sorts. Any news on this or is it still in the design process?
  19. As far as I know they are focusing more on there walk in shop as against the online side of it. (Correct me if Im wrong) Im sure if you give them a ring they will be happy to sort out what you are after
  20. ^ This is true. With a 4 - bolt booster you will get the most hold out of your brake, at the expense of bite. I am another 2 Bolt booster fan. My Echo SL booster makes the brake noticably stiffer while increasing hold but keeping that bit of bite you want Trialtech 2 bolt boosters are pretty swish too. Both brilliant boosters.
  21. I'm only riding basic mototrials in a non competitive way, so still learning and I was unaware you were running carbon bars so probably best to keep them tight Fully understand where your coming from
  22. Cant fault the Echo TR hubs mate. Make sure you dont over tighten the bolts though. Not hard to strip threads if your using a long allen key (as my mate dundy9 found to his annoyance )
  23. Ive found that If you use the 2010 SL complete brake lever unit with maggie slaves you get another bonus. Echo slaves have less inwards adjustment than magura slaves. So may not work if you are running widely spaced frame and narrower rims. Forgot to add that Magura Hs33s 2005 are brilliant too. Lots of aftermarket parts you can fit, and feel great with an Echo/ any Deng lever/ Magura 4- Finger lever. Bleed it with Phat Phluid or water with antifreeze mix for the quickest and snappiest feeling brake, but stick to oil in the Echos if your running the original slaves. If its any help my brake is amazing at the minute, spec as follows. Magura 05 Hs33 / Echo Lever / Pure Water bleed / Standard hosing / Bath bled Echo SL 2 bolt booster v!z Clamps (with plastic cylinder washers) Heatsink CNC yellows Trialtech Sport 19" Rim Sharp light grind. My set up with the TNN Lgms was; Magura 05 Hs33 / Oil Bled / 4 - Finger lever / Standard hosing No Booster Atomz Elitis TR clamps (Soon moved to the v!z clamps) TNN Lgm pads Trialtech Sport 19" Mediumish grind. ^ Brake worked brilliantly, and would be even better so with a deep, sharp grind. These pads have a brilliant wear life so dont be afraid to run them on the harshest of grinds. Would be improved further with a faster brake (water bleed), the hold would be increased with a booster, and the overall performance with a deep or harsh grind. Again I hope this helps. Have had too much experience with setting up brakes for myself ( I love to test what pads are out there ) and other people.
  24. Good looking frames too. If only speedrace kept the original Fans
  25. Echo Sl brake is a winner mate. Great feel, good looking and the slaves hold the pads much more securely. Very good brakes. Every thing from the positioning of the hose on the body, the way the levers held in place is brilliant. Pads wise, Heatsink Yellows for sure. Brilliant compound gives amazing bite, shed loads of hold wirh a good loud honk and are very reliable. Will work brilliantly on a smooth rim with a tiny bit of tar, or grind your rim for the same amazing performance but with the added bonus of being able to ride in the wet! Although TNN LGMs are also a good choice. You have to run a decent grind, very harsh to get the best out of them in my experience. Bite, hold and noise are all fantastic. Brilliant pads. Il be running mine again when I get another grind, then use my yellows when the grind dulls. Hope I helped
