As per topic title really. Looking for complete sealed bearing units to fit my Onza ISIS bb. Cheers
-
No special tools needed. The lockring thread is 'normal' (clockwise tighten, anti-clockwise loosen). No specific tools needed. If you can find something with a thin end that will go into one of the holes in the lockring, and tap it so the ring rotates anticlockwise. The lock ring will come off. Once the lock ring is off, you will have to remove the bearings, then either one or two shims that keep the pawls and springs in place when the lockrings tight. (Make sure these are put in correctly afterwards). You will now be able to see the pawls and springs. Without removing any, give it a spray with some light oil and give it a wipe. You will now be able to see which pawls are causing the problems, and replace them accordingly.

When I said I would never look back from Tnn, Im affraid I am. The pad seems too unconsistant. It has good days and bad days. On a bad day, they are terrible. They dont seem to bite, though the hold is marginal. But still not good enough. On a good day they feel like they perform on a parr with my old Onza Lime pads. Loud, some bite and ok hold. But the Limes had more hold, noise and bite. In other words these pads lack agression for me. Which is a shame because I loved them at first. Just when Ive spent £40 on a rim Ive had for less than 5 months and have to keep grinding for it to work doesnt seem justifiable. These are medium/ deep grinds too. Going to Heatsink Yellows now as I know they offer the performance I want/ need on the setup I have. Will post once Ive ridden them long enough

Hi guys, Just wondered if anyone would come up to shipley glen on saturday? Me and a mate are going up anyway (weather permiting) and was just thinking it would be a good chane to meet some new riders from my area Also if anyone has any Heatsink CNC yellows up for grabs then Il happily take them pending on the condition theyre in. Max I want to spend is £15 Also Isis BB is needed. Axle has to be long enough for ffw and bashrig setup. £35 max amout. Cheers!

bike looks sweet! How are those Onza Elite Disc brakes?
-
^ Too true. Also met allot of people that are inconsiderate, loud and dont think of the public around them when they ride. The result is the whole group is looked at as some anti-social, trouble causing clan of bikers. All thanks to one or two individuals. You still riding Damon?? Theres meant to be a ride in hull coming up in around 2 weeks

If this is aimed at me then your wrong. I was merely putting across my view on it. I am passionate towards trials and spend much time and money persuing the sport I love. I use the forum in the evenings or during the day (If I cant ride for whatever reason) for around 10 minutes at a time to get across my opinion and help people with any problems they may have. This is part of my passion towards it otherwise I wouldnt bother with this forum.

I personaly love TGS style riding. As it uses my three favourite moves that I have the power and technique to do. The idea of moving from a simple 7 foot drop gap to a level ledge to ledge gap across 8 ft is the challenge I enjoy. Il will try it static, rolling or to front. Trying to mix it up TGS is thee choice of style for a large number of our riding group. That said I would jump at the chance to ride more natural. Ive ridden numerous lightweight comp style bikes and love them. Riding something other than flat walls and ledges is brilliant. The challenge of riding off-camber boulders/ rocks/ wood at awkaward angles is something I love. I also have huge admiration of the brakeless riders, Ali C, Mark Westlake, Stan Shaw to name 3. I wish I could do this but lack skills I have respect for all riders, no matter what their style is. Trials shouldnt be each style vs each-other all the time. GET OUTSIDE AND ENJOY RIDING YOUR BIKE!!

Trialtech risers or the Viz Pros. My Try-All rage bars are horrible for TGS. Too flexy

Little hint for you peeps that are changing to magura on the 2010 pro. If your running the standard wheels still, the Onza Citrus pads work great! Loud sound, bite and reasonable hold. Though heatsink yellows are your best bet

Very pleased to say my brake is now working again Maybe not quite the same but holds well enough and the bites good too. Thanks for the tips!

Reckon I could pick up an 07 Gu Typhoon?
-
Should last you for years too

Yeah. I love a longer mod. Sidehops, to fronts and up to rears feel really smooth and easy. Mines got three dents in the downtube, but still going strong, where as my old Neon would have cracked or snapped Much love for the Zoo
-
Clearly cool. Pre 08 deng frames for the win Few of my mates looking for an 06 python now thanks to mine
-
Good man riding the hip old bike Im riding the very same frame. Zoo Python 06 CLS signature frame. Rides sweet Good riding too mate.

Im inpatient and riding tomorrow morning So want it working proper like
-
right, Went out tonight and thing have begun to improve. Rode around draging the brake to get the pads worn in again, and the brake seems to be biting allot better Hold is getting there too. Im going to get a power sander on the pads tomorrow to ensure they are properly flat surfaced, as they look a little rounded. Will see how things go
-
Ive taken the full brake setup apart now. Rim is getting a good clean, Pads are getting sanded flat. Will all be set up nice and square later and bedded in again.
-
Definatley in the same way, as I didnt remove the slaves when I cleaned everything. Pads came out, cleaned, and went back in. Slaves are in exactly the same postion
-
Brake cylinders didnt move. I took out the wheel, then the pads. Gave the pads a quick sand to remove any surface grime, and jet washed the grind to remove any dirt. Grind is very clean, deep and sharp, pads are clean too. When i put the wheel back in i made sure that the tyre didnt touch the pads (deflated obvs) and set up my snail cams as they were before. (Ive drawn a little mare with a sharpee to make sure my wheel is always in the same place. Inflated tyre. Went out this morning and its shocking. I checked my pads again and there just seems to be a silvery smudge on them all the time now, wheras before they were always green. Never had this problem with any other rim than trialtech.

Right guys. I had a fresh grind applied to my rear rim on saturday and was very pleased with how the brake was performing. However, I rode some natural last night and mud, water ect got into the grind. Went in, cleaned the grind and the pads. Set it up again. 3 hours riding today and the brake is nothing short of rubbish. No real bite, hold or noise, which is very off putting. Grind is still sharp and deep. Setup is TrialTech sport 19" TNN LGMs V!Z clamps. Medium, Deep grind. Any ideas why the brake my be lacking in performance? Edit; Pics now added. Clean pads. Still need to be sanded flat Rim as is. Still sharp and deep
