  1. I'd say thats a nice bike but you're still prob's better off going secondhand. Most of the time it'll work out cheaper and you'll get a nicer bike. When you get validated have a look in the forums for sale section
  2. For 20" disks on the rear are amazing, I think they're alright for 24" but with 26" the spoke flex is too much I believe.

    Help

Most people are simply too lazy to look into the topic so you'll be much better off with a descriptive title. As for the half link, mod / 24" / stock's can all use the same chains I believe. You need to find what chain you're using and then simply google it, if that fails take your bike into a local bike shop and ask for some help.
  4. Any old superglue Imo. I use some 99p for 5tubes super glue and its amazing. Stuck my old phone to my face for a dare and it still has some skin on it.
  5. Medway no trading in NMC. If you're riding a mod I'll go ahead and say ride dual disk. Search around and you can find definitive answers as to why. For frame suggestions I'm sorry but I can't help you there.
  6. Where'd you hear that from? Last I knew of Carbon boosters everyone was after them as 'they are just that good'. Either way, we need someone to back up one of us
  7. Old old plasmatic CRM's (the godly compound) Echo lever, 1echo slave and 1maggy slave. 2bolt booster (drilled) Kris Holms 19" unicycle trials rim It has a painted black surface, unground. So far it's the best brake I've ever felt, instant bite, insane hold, completely silent.
  8. LHM Mineral oil from halfords is like £8 for a litre of it. Use that in your MAGURA disk brakes. As far as I know HOPE disk brakes use Dot. I believe the avid disks also use mineral oil Never bleed a disk brake with oil. The water will boil and your brake will be full of air in no time. I don't think nitromors will remove adonising. I think caustic soda will though. As well as nitromors, this stuff burns so wear gloves.
  9. If you're using your maggy on the echo with the help of an adaptor that may be it. If you can run a vee then do it.
  10. Sup guys, just finished building a new rear wheel for my Z3, here is what my baby looks like atm. Oh btw, the rim is a Kris Holms 19" I admit those are terribly pictures but I'm a little too sleepy to get better pics. More will follow. I've also attached a pic of my old echo urban rim for those interested. Bearing in mind it used to belong to Borat and had about 5-6 flat spots which I bent out, the snapped sidewall is a result of a rail gap straight onto the repaired flatspot.
  11. Weather permitting me and a few other lads will be out on sunday
  12. WD-40 isn't lube btw, it's a de-greaser.
  13. I'm the opposite, riding mod for just over 2weeks and I can pedal up about 25" or so. Can only sidehop onto benches and other low things
  14. Anyone else think this guy's a c*nt?
  15. Use the reach adjustment and make sure it has quite a short travel?
  16. There have only been a few pictures / written guidelines posted before, I suggest someone needs to make a definitive guide? I've failed to make quite a few, to be honest though I was using 158mm spokes
  17. Vee's are more powerful and feel better than maggys (this is my own preferance) Even better for a mod would be dual disk.
  18. The trials truck was slightly boring, needs more sidehops
  19. I currently have no money so I'll just shelve the phats untill I can get some cnc'd backings, I'll also try them again when I get a fresh grind
  20. It had multiple flat spots that I bent out, one almost snapped + its had a fair few grinds. It was Chinnery's old rim. I've never ground a rim before so I'm going to grind it anyway for leaning purposes, might as well true it up and see if it will last.
  21. I really hope you don't actually think like that, stop being awkward.
  22. Wheel has a lot of up / down + side to side in it due to it being a VERY quick build with no attempt at truing it. This makes setting up hard as fook When my new spokes arrive I'm building up a new rim anyway so I'll grind + bleed it then. Thanks everyone for your suggestions, I just don't think phat pads are for me
  23. Phat pads would slide forwards whilst going uphill. OLD Plasmatic CRM's Won't slip even on sloped walls / rails. Safe.
  24. It says that you ride a mod? If this is the case then it is near impossible to fit a vee on the rear of a mod. I know a few people that have tried (myself included) and no matter what we tried the cable was always catching on the tire.
