  1. I did it the endo way in just over an hour. The pedal kick method took me a week or so to do. I'm one of those people that can "just do things" although I'm never really any good at it A year on (I ride maybe once every 4-5weeks) I can barely sidehop, I can up to rear and pigeon ok though.
  2. The high tire pressures and heavy impacts would most likely destroy a front rim in a matter of weeks. I'd say you'd have to be a fairly light rider to pull it off.
  3. As the title says. Reading ride tomorrow. Haven't really ridden since November so I need to get out. Let me know if you can come.
  4. I don't know if this has been said but i'll give it a go anyway. In regards to Onza1's suggestion, could you not have 19" vee mounts and stupidly long vee arms with tonnes of adjustment? I know it'd flex like a bitch but it'd help newbies out instead of being stuck with a 20" rear until they save up enough to upgrade. Another option for the vee is have 2 vee post positions that you can screw posts into? Also something like this could be done for maggys. (I've made the 20" mounts red just to make the addition that little bit more obvious)
  5. To the poster above, WD40 is a de-greaser not a lube.
  6. If your disk is slipping you're doing something wrong. A properly set up disk will generally have loads more hold than a Hs33
  7. I love my small block front, low preasures and yet it still bounces amazingly despite the silly thin sidewall.
  8. I once had a 36h CK bmx rear on a Try-All street (07 I think) with about 5 snapped spokes and it was near enough true with only a little up and down. Weak as shit though, if I lent the bike to once side whilst riding the wheel would touch the pad Aparently posted this at 11:11. It's now 23:23. Mindblown.
  9. Instead of washers I'm using masking tape and metal tape. I'll probs buy some after Christmas
  10. Literally just thought of this, not sure if it'll work as im a lil tipsy and cba to try it. Wind the TPA in a bit, set your brake up square against the rim. Wind tpa out. Win?
  11. I do everything minus chasing threads / facing etc and ofc the headset. The thing I enjoy most though is wheel building. Having a few beers whilst watching a movie and wheel building is actually really relaxing.
  12. It took me about 30mins to lace my first wheel, about an hour to true it. 4 builds on and it now takes me about 30mins to get it built without the need to true it.
  13. Awesome, my spokes were 1-2mm too long anyway so I'll lace it with heads facing in. Cheers guys.
  14. Hammerite is terrible. Halfords own brand is the best spray i've used.
  15. One person reconmends out one reconmends in. I've still gotta strip / paint my rim so I'll have a few days to decide. Cheers guys.
  16. Heya guys, I know that Radial lacing is done with the spoke heads on the outside of the flange but I just had a sudden thought about lacing them either all inside the flange or alternating. Is there a reason why I shouldn't?
  17. I saw someone posted on the modeling site about "they look like they can cut". I used the Echo SL lever and I can confirm that they are sharp and can actually cut your fingers Also, amazing modeling, good work man.
  18. Allow the snow :l If it hasn't shifted by monday I'm gunna have to give it a miss, sorry guys.
  19. I absolutely loved my King and I would go back if they did a bmx disk version. Profiles are ok, I've seen first hand a few of my friends hub shells cracking and that was with bmx use (a lot less strenuous)
  20. Alright man, are you the guy on the Zoot that rode with Rob?
  21. I personally think they look horrible compared to the originally SilverSky
  22. Hit 85 on saturday, been playing untill 4/5am pretty much every day 'cos I'm out from 11am - 7pm ish. Already made over 12k gold simply by mining / herbing (Can track both now) Gearing up to be a tank mainspec with a 1h fury offspec. My character is Gramarye, realm - Sunstrider.
  23. Heya, haven't been out to ride in almost a month due to various problems. I'm just wondering if anyone is up for Reading or Bracknell some time during the week? Riding from about 10/11 untill 2:30/3ish? Let me know.
  24. Loosen every spoke off until you see a tiny bit of thread and then go around giving each spoke 1turn each until you get complete tension. After 6-7 turns some spokes will be hard to turn while some will be easy. Don't skip any. If they all have the same amount of turns then the wheel should end up relatively true without needing much fine tuning.
