Usual rant about how yes, wearing a helmet is safer, but 1. it doesnt protect you from everything and 2.its his decision whether to wear one or not.
He looks like a big enough boy to make his own decisions/mistakes in life
Like i said, hes a bloody nutter, its just not surprising he walked away from it because he had something to break his fall.
I saw the title of this and was expecting Man + Pavement = Splat
Not denying its bloody crazy and i wouldnt do. im simply saying its not exactly a 5 floor building drop when ur having something break your fall.
Sorry, i sat down and worked it out that the tree absorbed 98.96676512% of the impact, and i just rounded it up
Ahh, forgot bikes don't come fully assembled
Its a bit poor though, selling a full build without enough stem stackers to fit the forks though, and expect the re-sellers/customers to modify it to fit.
This. i hate it when you get second hand forks where people have cut the hell out of them.
If you've added 20mm worth of spacers, surely that means the steer tube sits 20mm into the stem?
Adam, I've completed a returns form, and want the correct 2012 version.
I was planning on calling you today, but you've already answered my questions, and i would have gotten the standard response of 'fill out a returns form'.
Wanna explain this?
SO YOU ADMIT IT!
What im asking though is, on your website, the old one clearly has a massive lip for the freewheel to sit against, yet mine is about 1mm big?
The manufacturers wont force riders to go dual disk, or they'd loose out. We'd all end up buying marino's with 4 bolts, and they'd force all their custom away from theirselves and towards marino
I'd agree with you, but the lip which sits against the bashring is alot smaller on the one i got compared to the old one. Unless it's from an odd cross-over batch?
Mod's are, yes.
But both maggies and disks have their pros and cons, and riders have their preferences. I dont think there is a strong enough preference towards disks for this to happen for a good while yet.
I'm not having a gripe at Tarty, I've simply had a fair few bad experiences with them, and thats all im saying on the matter.
Anyway, back on topic, trying to find out what ive got. I cant find anywhere pictures of the back of the 2012 version?
Never.
For a start disks struggle to provide the bite and hold compared to maggie on a stock. And for all those people who are right foot forward (like me), you always run the risk of destroying your disk on sidehops/statics.
Isn't that the whole point of having more than one person involved in the process?
Anyway, i was more enquiring into seeing what I've got. As it's not a Try All Symetric, or the 2012 Version, but has characteristics from both.
