The one shortcut I used to use ALLLL the time on 7.0 which has been removed is, control click a layer and it selects whats on that layer... Not like select all but actually whats on that layer (for example a text outline) thats sooooooo useful but I cant find it in cs2/3 anyone have any clues?

nothing out there compares to photoshop to be honist, however im on cs3 and have tried cs2 etc but 7.0 is by far superior. its faster, less crap and has some extremely useful shortcuts which have gone in later versions. you'll find a lot of very very very good designers using even older versions than 7.

dont know how much this'll effect HL2 as its a different game engine but original for original HL radeons dont perform very well. in my pc I have a 9800xt pro 256 (saphire - AGP) which at the time was the absolute muts nuts although a nvidia gf4 would out perform it :/ as i said, thats quake1 engine so doesnt matter anyone know what a nvidia geforce 8600m GS (256mb with 1gb turbo cache memory) is any good? thats what my laptop has which i think is better in every way than my pc!

cheers danny got it all working pretty much same method as you've just posted. works xp > vista and then vista > xp. Must admit i was ready to hate vista and was planning on getting xp asap and unless i have any problems with autocad/3dsm running between the two theres no way im going back to XP on this machine, Vistas interface and general prettyness (doesnt seam to be any slower either) is supremem. anoying trying to find everything you need but still fairly logical. im impressed. ps there are hundreds of people having networking problems with vista to xp, its funny only took me 1 hour on and off to sort and im not the most capable of pc users! anyways... thumbs up from me.

I know the networking side of vista has more than a few problems at the moment but I would like to think networking between the two is possible? I have just bought a laptop with Visa home premium installed and would like to network with my home network (XP) I have my pc in my room and my laptop here as well, My network cable is split using a hub between the two (in my room) Both have fully working internet, both can access the router control panel (192.168.1.1) but I have no clue as to how to make the two work together with each other. Anyone have any clues? I simply cba to use a 2gb memory drive to move about 100gb's between the two...

I used to work in a very busy cocktail lead bar, and Now work in a slower different kind of pub, but the basics stay the same: Best bet is to stick to one, two possibly three spirits per night (brands) and mix with coke/fruit juices (lots of sugar in both) but at least you know what your getting. WKD/Smirnoff ice etc are all so full of chemicals and shit they simply cant be good for you and I swear contribute to hangover no end, Lets be honist... 4% or whatever they are really aint worth bothering with. Some drinks you might like to try are... Gin and tonic? (bombay not gordans if you can and plenty of lime, not lemon) actually a really nice, good drink! Amaretto on ice with 3x 1/4 lime segments and 1 tsp brown sugar? Such an lovelly drink, tastes like marsepan. Southern comfort and coke old favourite, dont mix with lemonade or it'll taste like archers (if you dont like whisky try it anyway, its not technically a whisky its a whisky based drink with about 100 added natural flavours, peach and vanilla being two of them) Cubralibre? - Havanna club rum and coke, lots of lime as well! dark and stormy - Rum (probably a lighter, dark rum like havanna again) with ginger beer... good wake-me-up drink! if you wanna go vodka route I wouldnt bother with flavoured vodkas as they only really tame the vodka taste when mixed, they taste a bit artifical when neat. Belvadeer or grey goose are good premium but not stupid choices. have fun!
