  1. Sucessful demo team indeed, but when it comes to media representation theyre are awful. Giles needs to loosen the purse strings and stop assuming he knows everything about everything, he so clearly doesn't. (my mad concept was better than this, and it was one of the first web concepts I ever made)
  2. they look stupid on fat mingers as well.. edit: Wasnt sure if i'd get told off for that, there are no nips on show, its relevant and it came up in google images "curvy figure"
  3. I have ever actually seen victoria beckham lookin that damn fine! wouldnt normally look twice at her but my god i'd like a go on that...
  4. they take the ideas seriously, put them into production and credit someone else for it... onza for example.

    Old People.....

Everyone should have to re-take their test at 60, 70, 75, 80, 85, 90, 95, 100 etc... Its rediculous, A lot of old people learned to drive when there were FAR FAR less cars on the roads when they had reactions and could actually see :/ As for mobility scooters etc, there should be some basic test/license... Trouble is without these a lot of the elderly simply wouldnt survive.
  6. Been with both, have to admit skinny girls generally are more boring in bed, but they look better while theyre being boring :/ so hmm.. lol

  8. im actually laughing... in the REAL WORLD!!!
  9. webdesigners/graphic designers (mostly the scenesta's) went through a stage a few years back of doing stuff like this, Eveything was pretty user-unfriendly and hard work to navigate, no text just big images of nothing in particular way, you had to keep clicking shit to get to whatever you wanted. I think its a kind of, eliteist affair. where if you dont appreciate it your just "not as cool". thats my understanding of it. oh, i also jumped on that trend a few years back, people got confused and to this day im not sure why i did it.. But its always nice to appear to be different.
  10. thats £80 more than every other student gets per week... plus at the end of your time as a checkout monkey youre still a checkout monkey. being an apprentis cant be looked at as a job, its education. even if its not in a school/college with lectures.
  11. There is money in it, if you had the right connections, Which you dont. You would be better of learning some more comprehensive code and doing things properly (ie not myspace) and see where you go from there. 99.9% of myspace pages look awful, Even if you get them looking alright it only takes one tit posting a message 600 charectors wide or some stupid image/advert to mess the entire display up. Would post mine, but my host is dead and its taken a lot of images including bg pattern with it
  12. halifax now do a good acount, biggest overdraft out there i think.

    Computer Speakers?

Soundcard wont be a problem as whatever signal is AMPLIFIED (hence, amp) by the amp itesel, again this is the reason its mains powered. things like subs can be either powered or non powered - generally for home use you need a powered sub if you wanted to go down that route. (I have a CL Soundblaster live 5.1 - about 4 years old, Goes to an arcam a75 amp and then into two B&W 602.5's - had another set of 602s3's but had to sell them )

    Computer Speakers?

I was expecting to get battered saying that, IMO all in one systems are a waste of time unless your spending big money or have little/no space. A brand name speaker, even 10 years old will still kick the ass of any entry level 5.1/2.1/10.2 whatever, system. On a good day you'd be able to get them for just over £100 http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/1-PAIR-OF-602-m-3s-B...1QQcmdZViewItem Get some cheapish speaker cable from soemwhere (your not an audiophile so you wont notice the difference) and pick up and oldschool amp from somewhere, obviously the more powerful and well created the amp, the better the sound but your still 10 leagues ahead of what you were planning. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE dont post up saying your argos special 5.1 system is better, you simply are wrong.

    Computer Speakers?

you'll notice the difference between £50 and £100, I'd step up the ladder. Infact, I'd ditch the all in one gimick (unless you have a grand to spend) and get a cheap second hand amp and hunt down some B&W's on ebay or something, Will piss all over any "pc speakers"
  16. My advice to you would be to stay away from the coders way of doing things, Dont worry so much about standards and css just make a site that looks and functions as it should (arguably thats going to involve css anyway) but if your a graphic designer and not a coder (in my experience you NEVER get someone whos good at both AND can link them, One side of the equasion always wins) Showcase your work, Spend your time on logo development and use big, crisp well focussed images. Text can play a huge part in the general appearance of design - even before its read. Your first project for example... I dont think we need to see every possible colour combination (at least not the same size) pick the one you feel looks best and go with that, maybe use a smaller image to show the possibilities. Also, When presenting letter heads and other signage i think it ALWAYS looks better to see it in real life, Anyone can drop their logo onto a crude letter template, Showing a decent photo proves its real and gives a better, more 3d idea of what your doing. This for example (taken from fatoe.com) Thats a print you can buy, But in print form it doesnt stand out much more than anything else, SHowing it in its final method of presentation changes is completly and makes it look 200x better... In my opinion, Viz bikes are one of the best companies for promoting their products through photography.. Its a stem, No one really looks twice at a stem - it serves a purpose and thats about it, Yet by placing it on an interesting, different material it changes the image completely - Im not saying do this for all your work or anything like that, Just the importance of everything around your design/product also has a HUGE impact on the final appearance. Very nice work, Keep it up!
  17. Lol so true but you use too many words when "SHIT" would have done. Also, This goes to show the general "design eye" of 90% of interwebbers... or lack there of.
  18. tempted, should bring some worthingers if i do as well..
  19. question is, can you do it yet?
