  1. I'm sure it will also say 'Licence not due' when it is SORN'ed. You shouldn't be due a fine. I'm pretty sure your bike in NOT taxed. The DVLA will have cancelled your tax disc when you declared it off the road. The process of getting a car back on the road after a SORN is: MOT (if it needs it) - It seems you bike's MOT is still in date Insurance - You seem to have insured your bike Tax Disc - head to the local DVLA centre with V5C, Insurance documents and driver's licence and buy a tax disc - job jobbed.
  2. New pads might help, but they will take a little time to 'bed in'. Do you have them set-up square and straight to the rim?
  3. A picture of the set-up will help! How are they 'slipping'? Is there not enough bite, or are the pistons moving about when the brake lever isn't pulled? Evo Adaptors will never be as 'strong' as pistons clamped straight to the frame.
  4. As far as I'm aware you can't have a car that is both on SORN and has a Tax disc. I recently got a SORN'ed car back on the road and all I had to do to de-SORN it was to buy a Tax Disc. Calling DVLA would be the best idea!
  5. On the back of Tom's post - I let my sister who is a medical student have a glance at your post: 'Hey there, my brother showed me your post and it seems like your pretty concerned about it. The solution is to return to your doctor despite previous negative tests and explain that although these have been reassuring, whatever is going on is affecting your enjoyment of your sport. It would be ideal if you could borrow the heart tape for longer to capture a trace during an episode. Either way you shouldn't have to be worrying, and be able to enjoying being active so don't be afraid to approach medics about working out what is going on. But... although the cardio tests have come back okay, this could be something like paroxysmal atrial fibrillation (and as it doesn't occur everytime you exercise it would be hard to catch on tape), and then you also have the visual effects and dizziness a bit like a vasovagal response (although your heart rate increases rather than decreases, but that it's triggered by certain movements and laughing means it crosses my mind). The clicking sensation could also be musculoskeletal, and as far I am aware the heart is not capable of producing such a sensation. It could also be anxiety related as although you feel calm, as the body is a mysterious thing! Go to your doctor!'
  6. ...Perhaps visiting the doctor again rather than posting on a forum might be a better route to diagnosis. Try and get them to let you to wear this heart rate monitor for a few days, or at least until you have a 'moment'. Does it only happen when riding or during other forms of exercise?

  8. I have both, but was a bit of a Playstation fanboy...but honestly Xbox is probably a better option. Graphics are pretty much identical (unless it is a PS3 only release). Multi-player is 'better' as most of your mates will probably have Xboxes. Microsoft also pay top dollar to ensure they get DLC on Xbox months before PS3
  9. 32Gb of RAM? I'm running 12Gb and that can cope with anything you I throw at it. If he can afford it he might want to think about an SSD, would make everything run faster. You could probably pick up a reasonable graphics card for about £150-£200. I can't advise on a card, but someone will be along soon!
  10. When I went over the bars at the Uni library? I had ridden the day after and everything was fine. Anyway I'm not that annoyed, just thought it was a little odd.
  11. Sarcasm doesn't reflect well in prose, I will definitely NOT be pursuing warranty on this!
  12. Hey, I was out riding yesterday in between spots when my rear wheel started dragging... Looked down and there was a massive bulge in the sidewall of my tyre so got off and had a look. It seems that the tyre and ripped away from it's bead and the tube had pushed it's way through as it is at a higher pressure (around 35-40 psi). So I gently touched the tube and it just exploded, gave the man walking past a good fright! The tyre was in pretty good condition - it is about 6 months old still loads of tread. Has anyone else had experience of this, or is it just bad luck? I blaming it on the amount of rad skips I've been doing recently... Was thinking about writing a strongly written letter to Tarty and Maxxis as it should be covered under warranty as if a tyre can't hold a tube it's clearly defective!
  13. Yeah, but wouldn't you have to potentially cut your steerer every time you adjust the spacer. Surely it's easier, cheaper, and not that much added weight to get normal stackers...
  14. It has only been 8 days so it might be nothing to worry about hopefully. You might want to make another post here: http://www.trials-forum.co.uk/forum/44-disputes/

Some great shots there! Love this one!
  16. That tool might be a good starting point but you will need to use a hacksaw, or a ginder if you are feeling brave, to finish it off due to the thickness of the steering tube.
  17. +1 Bought mine about a year ago - still going strong and I use them all the time!
  18. For £5 what do you expect? May I suggest getting something like this: Sure it isn't mountain bike branded, so you can't be a fan boy, but it will take a good few heavy knocks before it will leak.
  19. If you have an issue with Tarty Bikes you should really contact them directly. Trials Forum and Tarty Bikes are not one of the same. I don't really understand what this topic is trying to achieve...
  20. If you can't find anyone, perhaps try a local garage? There is one very near by
  21. I would go A-D as that would be under tension, but if you really want to win doing A-D & B-C with a lap joint would do the job nicely! Wood would probably suffice.
  22. Not really - we know were shite and we can have a laugh about it and don't hype ourselves up when we know we would fail.
  23. Buy Ti ones when you do get them out!
