  1. What style of riding are you wanting to progress to? Street or Comp?
  2. First time trying clipless pedals - was going okay until I had to stop at some lights, I promptly fell over.

What type did you get? Always happens first time round!

Got some Crankbrother's Mallets 1's - I knew it would happen on the first ride, at least there wasn't too many people around when I fell. I had a good laugh about it on the way home though!

It's worse when you think your clipped in then stand up to power down only to slip off the pedal and smash your balls on the top tube!

  3. I recognise that! The white forks and blue frame definitely match, although black forks look equally as nice.

    So...

Yeah I got your email - too late for the meeting I'm afraid as I was in Luton and had no email access, but that's okay. I'll be sending you something on Monday/Tuesday as I need to speak to Comms people to make sure that what we are planning is 'suitable'. We aren't wanting to rush this so it might be a week or two before there is any movement - if there is any. Skype? lawls...It will either be email or calls. In related news: The weeks been hectic...Where's that angry thread...

    So...

From what I understand big threads do cause issues - PH has the same issues. Although I think there should still be 'The' threads but closed and archived after a certain amount of posts. I think Tom said feel free to start a new 'the' thread.
  6. Because girls are rubbish? I don't know why there doesn't seem to be as many girls riding as boys. Maybe they avoid forums as there is a lot of hassle with some guys thinking they are better than girls. Some people may be embarrassed if they see a girl riding better than them so might resort to nastiness to feel better about themselves due to stereotypes. I personally haven't seen any harassment either on this forum or out in the real world, but I am under no illusions - it does happen and it's not nice.
  7. I hope not! If you going to wear a helmet - wear it right!

    F1

Link to article: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/formula1/18047760 It is a bit of a joke but the rules do say that the car has to be driven back to the pits under its own power.

    My Pashley

I think you paid too much A good project though - the rust looks a bit of a worry. Is it as bad as it looks in the photo?
  10. Where can you see/buy GET2? Never seen it!

    Fitness

What exericses can I do off my bike to improve my fitness and stamina. Bascially I want to start entering Enduro's and other races for fun, but my main 'fear' is that I will be embarrassing slow. I'm reasonably fit I just want to get stronger, and faster. I don't really want to do heavy weights or anything silly like that - just lose excess weight, improve CV and 'tone up' a little. I'm thinking that hitting the CV machines at the gym is a good idea, maybe do 'Spinning' classes, and do more running. Am I along the right lines? Obviously diet will effect things, I am being much better than I used to be. Any ideas about the things I might want to eat more of, or downright avoid? Before anyone says just go out and ride - I do that, I want to get fitter quicker by going to the gym in addition to what I already do.
  12. http://www.trials-forum.co.uk/index.php?app=core&module=usercp Check you time settings, especially your daylight savings option.
  13. URBAN!!!!! Wasn't a major fan of the edit though, some nice riding by that BMXer especially that last move.
  14. If you are selling the frame you may aswell sell the BB with it as the press fit BB are only suitable on the Echo and a few of the ZOO frames. As far as I know you can not use a chain whip to remove a freewheel, you can only use one to fit a freewheel. Check out http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/media/guides/maintenance_freewheel_and_sprocket_removal/m1.html on how to remove your freewheel, you may need to buy another tool to take it off. If you still have issues try your LBS.
  15. Also it seems due to the update my Chrome Adblocker block the forum adverts when it didn't before.
  16. ...Also, it seems the forum's favicon has disappeared with the update!
  17. Just tried myself using a 4mb image (limit seems to be 8mb) just as it finished uploading it came up with this:
  18. I'm sure you could you that disc, but you are really trying to 'grind' the rim not cut it!
  19. Great, it's gotten smarter then! http://vimeo.com/40752865 Anyway, the new forum look okay, very different from the old format but I'm sure will all get used to it in about a week!
  20. Chrome* Seems to be working now! Also how do you add/embed media, like YouTube and Vimeo, the media button is not here any more, unless I'm blind!
  21. The add links and media button don't seem to work, just greys about the page a little and you can't click anything.
  22. Not really, you want something like this: http://www.homebase.co.uk/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?langId=110&storeId=10151&partNumber=375051 That will just cut straight through the rim!
  23. I never knew anyone who died in World War I and in every combat and war since but I still honour them on November 11th. People need to calm down a little.
  24. Ladened with Hope products...what a waste! Floating rotors, really?
  25. Seems they are all the same... As someone has mentioned it looks like there were originally circular holes in the rim and these have been widened.
