  1. WHAAAAAA? never thought id see the day.. haha. not much point weight weeny-ing, a few grams here and there dont matter.
  2. did you drill those echo cranks yourself? i was thinking of doing it.
  3. he was till he swapped to 24", zoo mod i think it was. pretty nice it was.
  4. haha no worries man, but i was joking about the weight saving, you wont even notice any difference. however it does make your frame look a lot better. I had a neon bow 20" frame that I took the maggy mounts off, filed everything smooth etc to run dual disc and after powdercoating it looked like a brand new frame. good luck chap.
  5. i got something called videopad video editor. i just googled free video editing software and downloaded it. its pretty good i think.
  6. looks pretty sweet to me! 740g is really light too! i havent ever had it but i dont see why it wouldnt be good.
  7. yeah as above, they are crap for actual trials, thin walls mean pinches. and lack of knobblys and the compound make it crap for grip. good for danny mac style riding. al slippy as hell when wet. i was doing footjams after it had rained and i just kept slipping off the bleedin thing
  8. get an angle grinder, cut off as much as you can but dont go right to the frame, then get a big file and start filing away until you get real close to the frame, then a small fine file to finish it off, then you can use fine sandpaper to smooth off completely. job done.
  9. dont suppose you wanna swap any of those orange hub washers for black ones do you? haha that bikes a beast! loving the cranks!!
  10. Are you working for echo laurence? Youve posted that on like 7 different threads haha.
  11. why other than loctite? just any superglue is fine, but loctite is maybe only a quid or two more and its tried and tested.
  12. Save abit more and get a decent frame. Get one off the forum it will be way cheaper. Then upgrade the little bits as you go.
  13. oohh sweet, i think ill end up going for the try alls then. i just dont wanna spend £50 on pedals that will snap after about 2 months. like echo cages. but echos probably wouldnt even last 2 months.
  14. i run a trialtech sport stem with trialtech sport risers and its lovely. but then again i have no idea on anything to do with geo.. im a bolt on and go kinda guy lol.
  15. how big do you ride mate? and how much you weigh? i wouldnt really consider myself a big rider, im pretty crap at drop offs (which im guessing puts most pressure on the pedals) and i weigh about 80kgs. if for example your a 90kg rider who goes for big drops hopefully they should last me a little longer.
  16. bump. anyone? anyone used the try-all's? are they any good?
  17. you might aswell just buy the echo build. its like £100 isnt it? a rim will be £35ish hub - £40 ish spokes are £16 then you will have to build it and true it, if you cant true it you will have to get it done at a bike shop (£10) may as well let tartys build it then you know its gonna be solid. but then again if you wanna build your own rim, i would say echo rim over onza. although i think onzas are pretty strong.
  18. these rockman single cage? http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/caged_pedals/rockman_single_caged/c149p11272.html these try-all single cage? http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/caged_pedals/tryall_single_cage_2011/c149p11459.html or the echo platforms? http://www.tartybikes.co.uk/platform_pedals/echo_tr_platform_2011_including_pins/c23p11448.html I want strong ones mostly. ones that wont snap. are the echo's the strongest? edit, heard rockmans are shit.
  19. easy to get a sprocket off, just need to get leverage behind it (chain and vice combo). yours was only hard laurence cos you took the wheel apart first hahhahaha
  20. in my experience all AVID Juicys are shit! i had some juicy 5's on a downhiller which were alright. but the bleed method is crap, the brakes are pretty crap, bleed kit is like £40-£50 for a good one. i would not recommend them lol. i had bb5's that were SO much stronger than every juicy set ive had. and i tried everything to make them work properly. bloody useless. tried them on mtb, DH/FR and trials and theyre shit on everything in my opinion haha. hate them i hate them i HATE them,
  21. i went for an up-to-rear on a wall about 3/3.5 feet high. for some reason bottled it whilst in mid air, feet came off the pedals and i slammed my genetailia onto the rear tyre of my 24" echo. then i sat down for about 10 minutes feeling sorry for myself. i think all the injuies that will be mentioned in this thread will have some sort of direct link to reproductive parts.. just a funny feeling i have
  22. Ok so i have a 24 Holy roller on the rear, and it tends to slip off of alot of stuff. I have a kenda blue groove tyre too which is grippy as hell but its heavy (which i dont mind) but its an absolote bitch to get on and off the rim, especially with plastic tyre levers. I was looking at a moto digger as its light and has nobs on so must be grippy-ish right? Anyone use one? Any good? I know a big better 24" is an alright choice but theyre pricey.
  23. Oh whoops for some reason i thought it said slave cylinders, what a douche i cant read. Haha
  24. ^ no link.. anyway, yeah a 36h rim is a bitch, you pretty much have to go for a freehub then. unless you buy a new rim too... this is when the shopping cart starts adding up lol.
