The problem for me and possibly quite a few other people is the distance I need to travel to the nearest comp. Obviously this isn't the existing clubs faults but I'm looking at a 2 hour drive most of the time, plus eith fuel and entry fees it ends up being quite pricey. The competitions I have been to have been good though. I don't really care about people doing tactical dabs because I don't compete for medals. I just go to have fun and try and improve on previous scores. Anyway, this post has been prettu pointless and if you've read it all and thought it was going somewhere, unlucky.

Pretty much. A couple of things might need changing but the majority will fit.

The brakes are pretty much worth that alone.

It's hard to say without seeing your bike. When you say hydraulic brakes do you mean hydraulic rim brakes ie magura or disks. Also a decent freewheel or freehub is a good investment.

We used to stretch before exercise at school but sports clubs in been involved with more recently have said its better to get warmed up by lightly doing the same sort of movements as the actual sport.

The ride along on the hand rail looked good with the helmet shot.

I usually just start on something small then build up to something small. A few hops about does the trick.

Damon used to run heatsinc yellows on a smooth rim. I prefer a light grind but everyone seems to have different experiences with pads.

I thought stripped threads at first but its hard to tell from your description. Whip the drive side crank off though and inspect it. That'll make it easier to suss the problem out.

Sounds like the freewheel is knackered and possibly the axle on the bb is bent. If its the standard ffw then you can service it while its still on the cranks. That should be the first port of call. It might be that the lock ring has come loose and the internals could just need resembling.

That was good. A lot of people struggle with making comp riding look good on video but that was spot on.

They'll have retired by the time I can afford it.
