The stem being long and low with a low bb will make the whole thing feel too long and stretched out. The bearings are a case of packing them out somehow and the tensioner is something thats easy to do but hard to explain (properly anyway).

I like it. I reckon you may be right about the bearings. The cheap onza pads a good with a grind to get the v's working better. Do you know how to make a spoke tensioner? They're perfect for sorting your chain and sticking to your budget. (Get a shorter stem).

I wasn't talking specifically about you despite the fact that my comment was still aimed at you. I think this statement I'm quoting of yours shows a fair bit of closed mindedness. Surely being open minded means looking at various sources of information and various arguments for and against. If you limit your sources to the ones that confirm what you want to believe then that would make you more closed minded than most.

We're all the same in thinking that we're different. Alternative is the biggest illusion. You're not different, you're not enlightened, you're not more open minded. You simply choose different sources of information.

I think people are being a bit harsh on Dave here. Just because he has some alternative views on the world doesn't make him an open target.

I find going out of season to somewhere not too popular usually ends up being cheap. Vehicle rental prices usually come down and I like to get away off the beaten track. With a bit of research you can get pretty much everything you want out of a holiday for a good price.
