its definitely commercially aimed, but imo its pretty sick he does moves on a road bike(did you see how often the bike changed over the vid, fatigue?lol),that others cant do on their trials bikes. he seems to be wanting to be something like an italian ryan leech or martyn ashton though i agree.... ´ve seen his world record,i think it was 20m on a 45mm diameter rail and he did it... ...both on his trials AND his road bike!!! edit:to be honest i wonder how many bikes he wrecked doing this vid hahaha..

finally someone who doesnt look bmxy, awesome!
-
in general its possible, but you´d have your pads like 1mm away from the rim.as its not a closed system like hs33s,it´ll be pumping the pads in until they reach the rim,you have to fill the reservoir until then, then, keeping the lever pulled, put the reservoir cap back on,then release the lever. thats the only way i got it to work,i just had to make sure my rim is true like hell, and it scratched on the pads a bit when kicking hard. that it is possible doesnt mean i´d do it... edit:if you got julies and maggies i´d rather put a hs lever on the julie, that works good, rode it like that for a year or so

deja vu! edit:ah,as i´ve seen you liked my post you know what i mean lol. just did a fresh grind on my rear rim today, nothing compares to that scratchy honk of a new grind and its precise power!
-
when the rim grinds fresh and harsh i dont use tar,but as it wears down and gets slippier,i put tar on the rim.mainly because i am too lazy to grind every 2 months lol hope that info helps... edit:forget sanding lol
-
if my frame was painted that way i´d just put it in my living room, staring at it instead of riding :wink2:
-
realized it right after i posted it but did hope noone else would lol
-
i like it,because i think the whole custom thing is about getting your unique, one of a kind, one and only, compareable to nothing.... ....bicycle. you´d wonder what my marino came out like ridingwise, despite everyone said my geo´s weird! looks special,i agree, but who of us isnt one of a kind?
-
this guy rules on every bike he jumps on,awesome. in his next one he´ll be backflipping on a granny bike i´d guess...
-
its alright, just wear a buffalo plateau boot on the side with the shorter crank.
-
some stuff from yesterday(guess that counts, couldnt find my cams sd for some weird reason) sorry for the quality,my cam can record vids in full hd,but pics in just 2.1m,funny. so i used video stills, which came out at the same quality treestump up,round the corner of my street trying to gap to this sewer thing(dunno how its called in english),at the end i didnt get it dialled by 3cm,argh! edit: its about two wheelbases (1030mm),so i´m pretty satisfied with yesterdays effort

cool vid,and the outro was awesome haha -
-
if you want a more spinny bike,i´d recommend a 24". my preference though
-
if its like you described it,an inspired certainly will do the job, what you want to do is basically skatepark stuff in height, and such stuff and a little backwheelhopping is the purpose inspireds are built for imo do it!
-
depends on the table lol

Retro-direct gearing, pedal backwards to go forward, and forward to go
FamilyBiker replied to Jake.'s topic in Bike Chat
i know that for myself, haha, the "morningly brainf*ck phase" we all have to get coffee intravenous against every day. sorry if i sounded bitchy for that, reading my post again... -
take a measuring tool and hold it between the bars and lever housing where the hose is coming out, pull the lever and see the distance increase? i know, its just 1-2mm,but imo should be 0.
-
dont know how to apply it on bicycle frames, but in static constructions a triangle is the most stable shape.. btw the bike looks cool not gonna do the lightweight fault again, huh? (ffs, take that as a joke, please!)

Retro-direct gearing, pedal backwards to go forward, and forward to go
FamilyBiker replied to Jake.'s topic in Bike Chat
what? even if the ffw would be mounted the other way round it wouldnt go in the direction youre pedalling? edit:and it would kill the pulley rolls if it was that way haha edit:or did you mean "forwards" as in"like the crank´d be supposed to"? -
okay, the mechanical transmission is higher on 2011s,so there is extra power i agree. but i´ve seen it in real live a hundred times, the lever body flexes like hell. no pun intended
-
i found out its a ver bad idea to do it,so whatever you do,dont release your front brake when on the front wheel haha.
-
^exactly. look,i run 45 psi when riding streety because i pinch if its less, with 90kg riders weight. when having a session at a spot where static moves rule i go down to 35 psi. found that out like aener said, with experimenting. you see,its another psi for everyone literally
-
yeah he should mean 2011s.its not only the blade that flexes, its the whole lever body...
-
did it really need 4 topics of the same kind to answer one question? btw you got the same answers literally every time. i think inspireds take dj abuse for a good while,if you want more, get a steel frame from marino or even jaf,if you cant wait. steel is more reliable for impact riding, and you could get a geo that covers both genres a fair bit. but mind there is no do-it-all-bike,you´ll always have to take compromises. i found my right-in-between geo fortunately with my new marino, its a streety moddy 24 trials bike and its awesome, but for dj i´d have to completely change the bar/stem setup...
