  1. ryan leechs sequence in "kranked 5"(or 6?),haha dont even remember which one,but from that on i couldnt resist. was dj´ing and parkriding at those times, but it had to be trials at the end...
  2. maybe the courses were built for german riders :wink2:
  3. you´ll have to try out i think, but seeing theyre symmetrical it could work on the rear, too. edit:just relized theyre going on a mod,i´d do it
  4. i didnt know sean watson has an also talented brother... :wink2: nice!
  5. i heard of fourplays beeing pretty strong, you could do fine if you put some ns forks on(theyre 420 axle to crown), wouldnt rise your bb by more then 5-10mm,means youre still in street trials terrain, while slacking the headtube angle a tiny bit(0.5°),wich is a bit better for dj. with a nice high front setup it´ll be some kind of 24" bmxish to ride...i rode my old marino frame with that forks on exactly such jumps, with a 70x25 stem and 3"rise dj bars, before i got lower forks to trial it up lol,and it was really good for street though was flicky as hell during airtime. edit:that setup made a front brake impossible. edit 2:and mind its always a compromise youll be doing, there is absolutely no chance of having 1 bike being awesome in all those disciplines imo
  6. how much wall thickness would be left if one does so?
  7. if the small djs youre talking about are say kicker with 1.5m in height,3m gap,you could use a rigid fork as i did for years. youd just have to avoid flat drops lol
  8. been riding dj and street for so many years,it just doesnt look right for me...
  9. its not that i didnt think that,too... its that a bike is a bike for me with a seat... :wink2:
  10. americans!lol in the rockies theres a village which laws allow whale fishing, nothing more to say... technically its the same here in germany,we have the stvzo,a regulation for bicycles in traffic. it says you have to have 12 different reflectors on certain positions,a bell, dynamo lights etc. here we´re just lucky to have a big MTB hype, policemen would have nothing else to do but to fine bikers,so they obviously set their priorities to real crimes. if a policeman has a bad day its going to be expensive though haha
  11. didnt want to be negative sounding,i´d really be amazed of his talent if its real...
  12. bit of an update here. now thats it with the setup i aimed at,syntace superforce(one fat stem!)120x20,30mm stackers. funny its still streety that way,now my setup is 70mm longer in total than the old bike, and it spins better. kind of weird haha saddle is still haribo but about to be changed
  13. it took everyone here at least weeks or months to do such stuff,so honestly, really?
  14. dont do it,your bb rise would be +60 or more, making it totally senseless for dj...
  15. holy cow,thats a nice skye!
  16. ha,its the same as with d.watson,i cant even imagine how to go that far with gapping... damn, until i saw this i was proud of my 200cm flat gaps... edited- for spelling correction
  17. sorry, python!i´m not very into the brands and their models
  18. was a marino, and the owner measured.but i´ll ask him for pics edit:remember it was a zoo pitbull 05 long replica.
  19. i measured the effective toptube and reach lenghts on a few stock,24 and mod bikes,so i would say the bars´n´stem isnt everything to take into account. the stocks varied from 580tt/630reach up to 620tt/660reach depending on bb rise,as the 24s were, the mods were barely over 580 in most cases(okay one had 603tt,but had 1070wb aswell, should be fairly long for a mod). so i´d guess body heights could fit certain bikes,no matter what the stem is...
  20. that vid was cool, but that laughter frightened me a bit...
  21. you have a very nice spot there, sir! bike seems to suit your needs good
  22. that one spot was pretty illegal i think... other than that, very nice vid, thanks.
  23. it has to look like fun, because its supposed to be fun... robots have no fun edit:take a look at the breton vid,its just one topic away. that looks like fun!
  24. when i ride my trainees 26" bike its like the bike isnt willing to do what i´d like to,on my 24" its fine. but i´m used to it,so could be this. in general i´d say 24 is really a bit less tappy/gappy,as you said, but its far more spinny/flicky.
  25. brazed, argh!thanks, took the first word the english dictionary gave me for "gelötet" which means it in german. have braze-ons for maggies laying around and didnt get this haha
