  1. There are ways of setting parameters on a database to a stock model and when the parameters change the model will automatically update to requirements. However I think that method uses a single base model as opposed to a catalogue like yours. I'll have a ponder on it.
  2. Is there any quick / cheap fix using QR components?
  3. I've got an old chris king hub with the funn bolt axle conversion. The guy who had it before me hacksawed the non-drive side threaded axle end (the part that clamps the frame, after the collar) - I'm assuming he wanted to fit it onto a 116mm rear end . Is it possible to buy a small replacement axle end or does the entire axle need replacing? I'm sure I could figure it out if I were to take it apart but I don't want to buy the tool if I'm going to need to splash out on a complete axle. Cheers Jack

Is there not an export / save as function on the program you're using?
  5. Cheers for the reply! I'll have a look at the elite version. Might give the cassette a try if I can pick one up for cheap.
  6. Hi all, Looking at a new rear hub (135mm) for singlespeed and saw the profile 6 speed cassette hub. Does anyone run one of these for trials - how are they? Apparently they're only suited for disc use only... Not sure how much notice I should take of that though.
  7. Probably worth resting for a few days then or seeing a doctor. You might have injured the tendons or ligaments around your elbow.
  8. If you're just starting then your muscles and joints will be getting used to the extra strains, although joint pain probably isn't good. If you're concerned then see a doctor or at least take a few rest days and see if that helps. Also, try warming up and stretching before you ride.
  9. Love a bit of Fleetwood Mac!!!
  10. Got to be 'Money for nothing' by Dire Straits at the moment. Awesome summer song! Normally it'd be a Children of Bodom track of some description though
  11. Nice little section and smooth riding! I'll have to start felling random trees for more riding spots
  12. She looked 'mildly bothered'
  13. Yeah, I'm pretty astonished at how well they organised the whole thing. Setting something up this huge must have taken some serious effort!
  14. Quite liked the ceremony though....Rowan Atkinson and Daniel Craig were highlights for me.
  15. Get a new one in there! You can get them pretty cheap and not exactly the sort of part worth waiting until it snaps.
  16. Olympics ceremony is frigging awesome!!!

  17. They'll harden up into nice thick calluses soon enough

Nice! Bars look like they've come out really well! Is the stem based on any model? I've redone my bars so they're looking a little better. Haven't done much, I've been trying to get out in the sun while it lasts
  19. Loved the riding! What's the name of the song? It was on an old downhill biking video I used to watch.
  20. I'm back from uni for the summer and needs some riding buddies! Is there anyone sort of near Boston / Spalding / Peterborough that rides? Jack
  21. Einstein's theory of relativity suggests that light is the ultimate speed that can be achieved, regardless of how fast the source of it is moving - it is a constant.
  22. That's how I got to Spain for cheap.
  23. No, because you're still travelling at the same velocity as the lift when you jump. A tiny upwards acceleration from jumping would be pretty insignificant and would mean you're still heading towards the ground a decent rate.
  24. You wouldn't really move anywhere as you're traveling at the same velocity as the bus when you jumped (not taking into account different variables and air resistance and assuming you jumped vertically). If you were to jump then the bus either sped up or slowed down then you would land in a different position.
  25. I'm looking forward to seeing the bashring with quick release!
