      Jake.

Not going to find any other than the Zoot ones cheap. There's an Echo 24" with a 2012 frame for £650, I've had a quick go on it and it felt lush. Buy it :D

  2. That's the exact colour scheme of my Echo - bright orange frame with fluoro yellow front rim! Twins: http://img221.imageshack.us/img221/8117/echog.jpg Clearly the best look for your bike then!
  3. I'm assuming you don't have the tool? I'd say goto the LBS and get them to whip it out with a tool. If you're determined to do it yourself without the tool then you can use a hammer and a metal rod to punch the cup out from the inside of the headtube, i.e. rest the metal rod on the inner cup lip and tap it round in a circle to try loosen it evenly. This method may cause damage to your headtube and headset if you're not careful, so not ideal, but does the trick most of the time.
  4. Don't suppose you know how many engagements it has? XC has 24 and bulb has 36 I think. Bulb also has a Ti body Don't think it's a Pro as they've usually got PRO written under the Hope logo.
  5. I've just gotten through my report work from my medical engineering Masters and I can say it is the best feeling to get it out the way - now I've got until October free before I'm bogged down with work from PhD . Not much help now but in future I'd suggest getting as much done early on as possible, or space it evenly throughout the year as it'll save you the stress later and probably improve your grades no end. Just hope the weather isn't good over the next 6 days and you'll be fine
  6. That's what bike repair is all about... Just don't go slugging into any salt....burns like a bitch.

    Cad Thread

I've just whipped up a quick brake booster to get things going, not the most aesthetically pleasing piece of work but it'd do the trick . http://img7.imageshack.us/img7/8868/brakebooster.jpg I'm in the process of knocking up a stock frame but the CNC'd dropouts are giving me some trouble.... it's a pain not having anything to physically measure. Any suggestions about features that could be added? Jack
  9. 6.132 courics.....nice.... For you South Park fans.
  10. Nice bike, but those cranks look terrifying. I think I'd rather a few hundred extra grams for the sake of keeping my ankle in one piece....

    Cad Thread

Hi all, I thought it might be a cool idea to start a CAD thread for any designers or engineers on here that want to post any bike related part designs they've modelled for feedback and advice. I've been messing about with a few ideas for bits and bobs on SolidWorks just for practice sake, so it'd be nice to see what others on here have come up with. Anyone interested? Jack
  12. Freakin' gawjus! Spokes are a nice touch.
  13. I use either the pump method or add a dab of water then roll the grip inside out to dry it once it's on.

  15. Looks like it was an awesome ride, so gutted I missed it. When are you guys back in Hull?
  16. Looks like more Dave viewing for my fix...
  17. I'd say the zoot also, especially if you're into a bit of street riding. T-rex frames are pretty old school these days
  18. First, I'd try getting something to take the screw head off to get the clamps off in one piece! When I say the magura mount - I meant the top part of the clamp sorry XD so it won't affect the actual frame mount, it'll just mean there's nothing resisting the screw head. Don't touch anything on the frame itself and leave the screw head in tact if you try this way so you can get a screw driver or mole grips to it.
  19. Odd...shouldn't happen make sure you properly grease your screws in future. Have you tried a flat headed screw driver and plenty of lubricant? I'm assuming you've loosened the other bolt off completely to make it a little easier to remove. That should do it Worst case scenario you'll have to hacksaw the top part of the magura mount clamp (sorry).
  20. No problemo, let me know if you have any ideas I can try.
  21. Few more.....I literally have nothing better to do at the moment...'sigh' http://img72.imagesh...90/rjilogo4.png http://img824.images...58/rjilogo3.png
