  1. In my case it's what ifs, when I rode dh when I was younger I never thought, just did. where as now I think too much, think about my previous injuries, and what a new injury would do to me. So I guess I'd admit that yeah, I'm scared of taking some things on,I normally build myself up to do it though
  2. Was looking at the 110x 25 sort of range on dans recommendation, just need the dosh now! f##king skint!
  3. no problem mate, it's helped me out too!
  4. roll the bar angle forward as much as is comfortable for you, then if that fails try the longer stem, that's exactly the problem im having on my fourplay and that's the advice I was given if that helps??
  5. you're going on like a bunny boiling girlfriend!, did inspired and tarty hurt your feelings in some way?? the price is the price! the market dictates the price! people will pay it, so that's the price! get over it! and with regard to the ali c video I'll use the example of football boots. Ronaldo wears mad coloured Nike mercurial vapours, so people buy them. They don't think it'll make them Ronaldo, but if it's good enough for Ronaldo, it's good enough for them!Nike don't put a disclaimer saying WARNING!BOOTS WILL NOT MAKE YOU THE WORLD'S BEST FOOTBALLER. because they assume people aren't retards. And the target market is whoever will pay the price, these companies don't have a duty of care, they're not a creche I know you think you're speaking for the little guy or single handedly trying to change trials but all you're doing is making a dick of yourself.
  6. thanks for that mate, I think I'll try the longer stem, might not look all that nice, but if it makes me improve I don't care looks like I'll stick to the fourplay mate
  7. I kinda assumed the skye was shorter, that's why I asked about the reach, just to get comparisons
  8. Technically the best video I've ever seen, I agree with the comments above though, only people who understand just what goes into those lines will fully appreciate it! In saying that I've shown this vid to a few people who don't ride at all, but have seen the Danny Mac vids and they were just as blown away. have to agree with Ben on the g turn to rail to nose manual line being my favorite! if there's ever been a video that could make you want to get out on a bike more I've never seen it!
  9. hey, so I want to get something nice for myself for Christmas and was considering trying to get my hands on a Mk1 Skye frame and forks, and selling my fourplay. I'm having trouble with space on the fourplay when on the back wheel.like I'm gonna buy a longer stem to try it, but considering the trade anyway. so my question is, does anyone know the reach of a 2011 fourplay? and how does that compare to 2012 and the mk1 skye? any help appreciated, even if it's just tips on getting more space on the bike in general
  10. The copper washers attaching the hose to the caliper on the 90 degree connector could be gone? I had a very similar problem, cost me time and money, only to discover it was a 5p washer was warped. Also, it might'nt be warped, the connector nut might have come loose. maybe clean the thread of any of the bolts, dirt or filings can stop agood seal forming
  11. Another very very important factor to consider is that there is 2 types of depression, well 2 major classes, causative or reactive: where you're becoming emotionally depressed due to some event, or feeling and chemical depression: low production of serotonin causes low mood, anxiety etc. these 2 have to be tackled very differently, the causative should normally be tackled by talking therapies, or positive thinking exercises or the one solution, go to the gp or a local centre to talk to a counsellor, you'd be surprised how much it helps if you really embrace it and the chemical is not as simple, because for most people with chemical depression talking doesn't help, medication does though, so that's worth maybe a visit to the gp to see if you can establish the cause of these feelings
  12. yeah really good video, think this one might of slipped through the tf cracks! it's definitely worth a bit more recognition!
  13. I ride alone all the time, not out of choice, because there's only a handful of riders in Ireland and they're spread all over the country. I find it really hard to motivate myself to try something new when I'm on my own, so I find myself having to beg my mates to just come and watch, in case I get hurt, and for moral support kinda. I think if I was more skilled riding alone would be perfect for me, but at the stage I'm at I feel like I'm not developing,or having much fun! but I persevere with it,because I love riding.
  14. For starters I'd say doctor would be a safe bet, but if you can buy some decent sports strapping for the knee, or anything that will compress the area and see how that feels when you ride, but if you're feeling a pop in your knee it could be a ligament or cartilage damage, and seeing a doctor is the best advice I could give.
  15. well i'm still only a beginner, but i'm up for going riding with you some weekend once you're settled,I'm in college during the week, but I'm off Fridays and at the weekends? If you do decide to head to the Louth/Meath area, let me know!!
  16. you're probably too far away from me mate, I'm on the east coast, really a pity, would of loved to ride with someone as good as you!
  17. I don't think any business can post ads man? even if it's only a startup.
  18. love the candy red! sweet looking! (not meant to be a shitty pun)ha
  19. Since I've joined the forum I've watched him consistently give bad and highly inaccurate advice to beginners, I've watched make posts that are only there to incite a fight in the forum, a few of which succeeded, and I've watched him find every way possible to slate any company making 24 frames. The guy is either working for a company, or trying to start his own up. He's a moron. oh and ps, I'm doing a degree in business and global economics, and selling at a loss to drum up business isnt stupid, it's a "loss leader" and is common place in business you twat. rant over
  20. was thinking the exact same, running some hate propaganda to drum up business for himself
  21. you really are the greatest shit stirrer the forum has ever seen, inspired frames are virtually bombproof, there have been very very few cases of problems with frames that I've ever seen, end of conversation. go and find a new random Google image to talk shit about.
  22. Hey, looking at getting into enduro as there's a few clubs in my area, and I used to do dh so reckon I'd enjoy it. Was wondering if anyone knew any decent makes/models to look out for? not looking to break the bank. thanks Bernard
  23. I completely understand where people are coming from with the Danny mac comparisons, but if you think about it, Fabio has likely got into trials because of dannys vids, and is inevitably going to emulate his inspiration in some way. Think of music, alot of it is inspired by a someone gone before, and you can hear it cleary, it doesn't mean you wouldn't buy the album,or that the bandisn't talented. it's just an inevitability. I was really impressed by the video, but it shouldn't win this comp, it might, but it shouldn't.
  24. can you let me know if that does open?I'll be making the trip up the second its open!!
