  1. Wow thats really cool I think, design your own frame... I may do it one day, as for geometry I'd probably copy the geo of a frame I know I like, im interested in the look, I like the bike I ride now Thanks lads (and lasses) gave me inspiration. If jaf would do the carbon work too then thats sweet. And the top tube don't have to be Ti, just id like that lol. Cheers
  2. Yeah the idea was looks, I know nothing about geo. Probably around 995 - 1000 wb Im not actually going to buy this, just wondered if you COULD do your own design as I was sketching and thinking "yeah thats nice" and thought id just ask how much it would be for just the "frame" not including the carbon shiz. So move the top tube slightly higher, could curve I suppose. Ill draw some more Cheers
  3. This is the idea I had, sort of mixing the M5 monty with a more traditional design. (Use wih rockman carbon fork) Concept 1; Sketch 2; Detail / Exploded view; This would be a hassle but I really like the look of it. I bet I'd have to get a seperate company to do the carbon bits and some place to make a Ti "interconnect". Now I await the "that wont work" lol. Thanks for looking.
  4. And is that to a design of your own, or one of there frames to suit you/geometry? Ill post some 'preliminary designs' (doodles) in a sec. Cheers
  5. I guess it would also cost a lot
  6. Anyone know of a place that build frames and could build one to your own design? Cheers,
  7. Sounds like a fun time! Cant get but maybe another year or may go to tarty days. Hope you all have a excellent time
  8. Yeah I wanted a hope saw but I may just get a 180 trial zone as its designed for trials. Cheers I was just baffled that up side down works because its the first thing I thought but instantly dismissed it as "a silly idea and it would be same other way" I even took it off and quickly lined it up... wasnt untill I bolted it in with the F mark at the top and guesstimated based on my rear rotor that I saw that maybe I DO have the correct adapter, and just by fluke it happens to work on a 160 if used upside down... Seems to be the case.
  9. Im going to order the disk (180) Ill let you know how it goes.. Cheers
  10. Yeah that sounds good too. Looks quite simple. Bet they charge a lot. A old half bashring, drill old lever and bolt it on? May look cool
  11. May I ask what's that for? Unicycle brake? You could cut one out of wood and make it sandwich round the lever. Then paint it
  12. http://item.mobileweb.ebay.co.uk/viewitem?itemId=170412350924&cmd=VIDESC This item states now that adapter f used in a front yields 183mm... For science sake! Why is all information on the same item different! "All of the 27billion facts on the Internet is wrong!" - Jeremy Clarkson
  13. Id replace just to be sure. Atleast you know now its damaged.
  14. So upside down adapters cancel out the increase in size? So a 200mm adapter used upside down would yield 180mm? I found this chart... I definitly have adapter F, and there it says rear 160? It dosent state any for front 180mm?
  15. If you have a profile you should run a fixed 18tooth front sprocket.. and bash ring. Then a 12th on the profile freehub. I would say the chain line is fine. I wouldnt get a much wider chain as then you may get some rub. Cheers
  16. Normal (160mm) how it came: Reversing the adapter provides more space. You may be correct krazykid. Does this look like enough room for 180? Im looking at my rear 180 and it looks like it may just fit... Cheers for the help.
  17. The bit with F on should be at the top then? I tried to do this last night and although I didnt bolt it together it didnt seem to change the size when I fliped it over and lined it all up... I thought it was that but now im pretty sure its not that. Its either I havr an adapter maked F, that is different to the adapter marked F from tarty bikes. Unfortunately the pictures on tarty dont show adapter F I dont think. If that is a picture of F on the last image, then that is the adapter I already have, but its not 180 my disk is 160.... Can Adam@tartybikes or anyone there confirm. I have echo (sl?) Curved forks with IS monts. And a hope trial zone post mount calliper. I need a definite 100% answer ready for ordering new disk. I cant work it out...
  18. Here is my chain line, no longer rubs and have no issues with the chain now.
  19. Iv also had this problem and many others have. As long as the chain is not rubbing on the seat stay underside then id say its fine. (My chain was cutting into my frame! ) I put a spacer/washer on the drive side axle on the inside just to move stays out a few more MM, You could try the echo spacer AND bash ring then put the freewheel on. But check out if you have enough threads on the crank (if its a fixed sprocket on the front as it should be) then you shoyld have enough threads to do this.. or Replace the BB as last resort.
  20. Can anyone who is running a front 180mm disk with a post mount calliper and IS forks tell me what adapter to use. Still a bit confused about this. Cheers
  21. If you press under the chain upwards it should almost touch the frame (chain stay) Then rotate the wheel/cranks to look for any "tight spots" and adjust so that the chain is almost touching the stay again. Keep checking while cranks rotate to make sure its not too tight.
