  1. +1 for TT high rise, I Imagine other bars that are equivalents would also feel nice but cant comment on strength/quality as I've not used them. (Iv used Champagne coloured monty high rise and they were also nice but that was ages ago)
  2. Thats opinion. No stem is just best, Best at what? Being strong? Lookig nice? Being light? Being expensive/inexpensive? They are all pretty good at being stems because they all achieve the task of holding your bars and fixing to your steer tube.. Cheers
  3. I agree I don't have any problems with parts atall and havnt had many problems in the past with parts. I think all stuff brakes after time, if you keep braking things instantly then try to be smoother or loose some weight. I rode with neil many times and he didnt brake anything either. Iv seen him brake stuff, I blame him not the parts. If u want to do stuff that will potentially brake stuff. Thats your choice. Dont do it then moan becuse a slim piece of metal cant cope with the massive force of a 14stone person pulling on it from a 10ft drop... how much force is that? Lots! If you want stuff too last despite being a big or unsmooth rider then the only way to go is.more material/heavier thicker bigger welds etc etc. Dont use aluminum, use steel. Iv never broke anything unless it was my fault anyway.
  4. I also tuck my trouser leg into sock. Not only does it stop that problem. I looks gangster especially if you wear your missus's socks like me Boom!
  5. Try setting up the brakes again from scratch. Unwindnthe adjuster on the lever and then undo the bolts on the back, push the brake in so the pads almost touch the rim equally on each side. Re tighten bolts and then adjust the lever adjustment again. Cheers
  6. You havto loosen the bolts on the side of the stem so they are fully loose. Then press down on the stem and tighten up the top bolt in the stem to remove any play. Make sure its all aligned, then tighten up the bolts on the side again.
  7. Like the crossbow. Hate the giant lol
  8. Maybe under a share button or something...
  9. Yeah me too, if I didny live hundreds of miles away I would have viewed it first.. and still probably missed the damage lol Cheers all
  10. I trusted, but yea I should have checked as soon as I received it. I have now resolved the issue and Connor has agreed to refund me 80pounds. I am happy with the rest of the bike. Thanks so much Rhys! Really appreciate it!
  11. Hmm okay.. I see where abouts you are. Thanks for the info ill speak to the seller some more. Do you have anymore info about how you came to know it was cracked. Were you there with him, did he show/tell you about it? Thanks bud
  12. Whats the guys name I got it off? And whats your local town? I ask cuz iv allready had this "oh its cracked mate... near the chainstays"... no its not... So u say its cracked above the mount. I havnt landed on it yet, frame feels stiff, no new or unusual noises. Cba to take off the protector as its gluedon with some shit... yeah it could have a crack there I have been suspicious. . But if there is, its not effecting the bike. Ill be having a brand new frame in afew months anyway.. Cheers
  13. Come ride with us if you want.
  14. Yeah I think its riding alone. Have a week off riding. Find someone else to ride with. See how you feel.

    Nice riding buddy
  16. No, and bars can be adjusted so it feels ok. Wont notice after an hour, may even like it more.
  17. I love stan ti bolts. All shit breaks eventually. They look awsome. I like the word "Titanium". Spent loads and will buy more. .end
  18. Thats the best post ever on any forum ever... thanks for all that information! Gives a lot to think about.. And yeah its busy I understand, the reason I thought of removable was if you crack your frame then you dont havto buy all of it again. But I see that adding all the gussets and bolting it is adding weight etc and makes it complicated. On a side note prince's trust is helping me try and open a local bike shop, so I definitly want to eventually make parts and maybe frames also Cheers again for the inspiration
  19. Its a titanium bar (not solid) then wrapped in CF and bolted to threaded gussets on the downtube. Carbotanium downtube
  20. Trying 10psi with new kenda dh tube. 8 was too soft and 15 not bouncy enough.
  21. Aslong as your happy, I paid a little over the odds for the exact bike I wanted. Have fun with the bike bud. Cheers
