  1. 40mm will do. I took the same gamble, works out fine as long as it covers the holes. Make sure your rim doesn't have any pieces of metal sticking out, just smoothen it out before chucking your tube on.
  2. Love the camerawork in that vid. Crazy!
  3. What happens if you tap them out without using a release agent?
  4. Awesome input! Really useful, thanks a lot mate!
  5. Please elaborate. How will this help me with pedal-ups?
  6. Actually I'm not sick of hearing 'Practise practise practise' because I love being on my bike, and falling off just the same! Thing is, there are so few riders in my direct surroundings. The closest rider is about an hours drive away and he's always busy. I'm pretty much appointed to youtube, you guys and myself. I'll take some videos later and post them here. Maybe that'll help identifying the issue, if there is any!
  7. So I've been having a go at pedal ups the last couple of days and I have a question. Perhaps I'm taking this to be a tad too scientific but what the hell. I wonder, what is the ideal distance to the object you're trying to get on? Is there an easy way of finding out besides trying out different distances? The thing is, I'm having trouble getting consistent results. I can get up to object at about 60/70cm, but only 50% of the time. Any and all tips are welcome! Thanks.

    Pad Reviews

Pads: Heatsink yellows, cnc backings Time used: 1 month Rim: Echo TR 26" Frame: Monty 231 XXV ; built in booster Grind: Yup Brake: 2011 HS33, factory bleed Great bite and hold. Loud as f*ck though. Wear is pretty okay imo, have went out on about 20~30 rides, each are between 1 and 3 hrs and they're just halfway gone.
  9. Was riding in Schevening, The Hague yesterday. First time riding 'proper' obstacles besides the normal street thingies I practice on. God was I scared at some points. Even fell in between the blocks once. Heh! Good times!
  10. I'm quite sure they're not Ti. Chinese products are always made of cheap materials. Trust me, I've seen enough Chinese product to know. I'd save yourself the hassle and go with a, obviously more expensive, long term solution and get yourself a decent set.
  11. Good point! The noob within me is strong...
  12. The wheel looks true as is.. I'll see if I can't post a picture up later.
  13. I'm on holiday in the region at that time, so I might drop by. Can't take you with me though, I'm leaving 4 days prior to the event.
  14. This might be too generic of a question but somebody might be able to help me out. Looking from the back of the bike, the left brakemount is closer to the rim than the right one. This is giving me trouble setting up my brakes with fresh pads. I can't get it set up without it touching the rim (TPA dial turned all the way out). I've thought of grinding down the pad a little bit, but before I do that I want to make sure I haven't overlooked any other options. I did notice one of the mounting points isn't perfectly flat, causing the clamp to warp towards the rim when tightened. I'll start off by making sure that's flat. Anyone has any other ideas? I only need 0,5 to 1mm of extra space.
  15. Someone should take it off him.
  16. The thing that makes it most dodgy for me is the last line 'To be picked up preferably this week'...
  17. The sound has been removed by YT because you didn't give credit to the artist - song..
  18. You do have to make a little bit of effort, he's put them on Flickr: http://www.flickr.com/photos/justvecht/sets/72157634607991621/ I noticed my tyre pressure. I think I'll pump it up a 'little' more next ride. :$

  22. I concur, SKF bearings are the bees knees.
  23. Well, I've managed to get some videos of me being a noob and trying to learn how to trials. Any tips/tricks would definitely be welcome. Front brake is being smooshy, can't really hold a decent trackstand because of that, will need to bleed soon. http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=m5ZpN_zOIds http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=1a6LLpdFeCA http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=PeY95L8EQNM
