  1. get ur wheels built by someone who knows what they are doing, save you money in the long run. dont bother with the gold nipples either, if u want to jazz up ur bike u may as well get a gold rim
  2. yeah i agree with onzaboymark, i run 35psi in my kujo on the rear and i have a massive 2.6 maxxis tube in. i thought that was low. i am 12 st and perhaps the least gentle rider ever just ask mr koxx. i do ride 26" though but never had any trouble with ex721/d521 with grinds
  3. magura with ex721 works fine for me! even with worn out kool stops

  5. sorry to jump in on the topic but ive been thinking the same thing recently, bout swapping rings. how much smaller is a 20t ring will it move chain in from the bashguard edge?
  6. i reckon u should try the 160 for a bit, works awesome on mine and with ur bike being a 20 inch could be even better. one thing to note though is that the larger holes in the mono trial rotor reduce heat build up and stop the pads glazing over, this is important due to huge pad size in the mono trial. seemed to work fine with your 185 mini rotor in last wk though, try em both see which u like best :)
  7. u mean these things? i wouldnt want them on my bike aside from looking tacky, one seriously screwed up move and u could ruin em surely???
  8. muse all the way. slate them all you like ive been there since the begining(ish) (Y)
  9. fly, very nice, look smart but arent, very comfy, cost a bit though, mine were £70 get some from schuh or somewhere like that
  10. ok so it wass reattached but will it ever fully work again??? ow
  11. just be friendly and smiley, a LBS survives because of its customer service so if you show that you ar polite and friendly and well kept (important take a shower) they are going to think well of you. show you know your stuff but dont appear too cocky, say your are willing to learn and are a fast learner, and if they mention discount say you had never thought of it but u wanted the job because u really enjoy working with bikes and see it as a constructive use of your time to help fund your interest. its always helpful to know how the air shocks work, you always get one annoying customer who wants to know exactly bout the positive and negative chambers, still wouldnt worry too much bout that good luck
  12. i'm currently running a 2.25 kujo in the rear of my pashley but its worn out and im looking for an ALL BLACK replacement. the clearence is not much though, im not sure if i could get any bigger than a 2.3/2.35 in my back end (Y)" suggestions welcome, esp if u know the clearence. post suggestions with pros and cons please cheers
  13. surely you mean its more "21st century" isnt that the reason anyone changes the name of something? unless its due to the europeans being unable to say HOT S, a bit like changing JIF to CIF?!?!?!
  14. yeah chrome rims improve braking, ive got one on my bmx. pads thats are supposed to be good are gusset incontinence pads (always wanted to use that in a sentance)
  15. have to agree, hospitals are great and the fact we dont have to pay for stuff when we need it, unlike most of europe and the USA, it is a much more wallet friendly system. i feel your pain with the whole teeth issue, as u can see with my avatar, when i was in hopsital they were extremely good to me, even saying we can take u through to the dentist surgery via the back way so no one has to see u. not that i minded showing of my battle scar. we dont realise how lucky we are in this country! ive experienced a hospital in austria after skiing into a fence, thankully i was insured it would have cost £2000 for the treatment and all i had was an xray and some crutches, oh and an ambulance off the ski slope!! tops stuff NHS
  16. anything XTR that is M960 is 04 onwards the only difference in the range is mainly through the mechs and the disc lever and gear changing pods
  17. amazing brake, so much power and unlike adam im only using the 160mm rotor. more bite than any other brake ive had, ive found modulation no problem. if u like a grabby brake this is the one for u.
  18. ive never run rear disc but my mono trial up front has so much bite i reckon it would cope on the rear. my mates used to run rear C2s both of em cracked their disc mount, one zebdi, one echo ES4. and there is always a risk of clipping walls. akrigg used to run em (f/r C2s) on his pace way back in 1999
  19. have to agree with what waynio is saying. ive been stopped by police a few times back home just do what they say, move on and then come back later. it is really annoying to think that they are wasting there time and should be out catching real "criminals" well, i agree in a sense. but think they have to respond to complaints about anything or they would be seen as not caring bout what people think. be nice to people and they will be nicer to you, im sure there is probably something in the bible about that. this doesnt just mean the police but general member of the public, if we all start being more civil and listen to others then they will have more time for us and will accept our sport and appreciate that its probably better we ride on walls than get wasted in bus stops and act like reetards. its always good to get the public onside, they might even get onto the local ccouncil to build u a trials park. happened for us in barlick (barnoldswick), its not right good but hey its better than nowt! just be nice to people is what im trying to say in a roundabout way, itll make the world a nicer place, and in the long run could reduce the need for nuclear arsenals (but thats a bit far fetched - lets aim to get trials accepted first (Y) )
  20. yeah mine clicks a bit when track standing with front brake slightly on. i wouldnt worry as ash says. also my mates does the same thing still both brakes work brilliantly. its prob something to do with the fact the pads work with magnets not springs like the other hope brakes. i tend to ignore rattles cracks and squeeks on my bike though, life is more carefree that way :("
  21. wait a few weeks and make friends with ur cleaners!! bike bags work. if u live out in the year 2/3 try find a house with a cellar, it makes a great workshop
