  4. I think that's officially the gayest thing ever said on Trials Forum Dan, well done
  5. will you two just f**k and get it over and done with? The sexual tension is killing us!
  6. Got the clutch out yesterday, smashed the absolute hell out of it. The center part which sits on the springs is snapped in 4 places. The metal on the new one is almost twice as thick, you can see the difference in the quality! Pictures up later
  7. from department of transport: In the Department for Transport's (DfT) view it is not legal to sell or use after market HID lighting kits, for converting conventional Halogen headlamps to HID Xenon. If a customer wants to convert his vehicle to Xenon HID he must purchase completely new Xenon HID headlamps. The reason for this is that the existing lens and reflector are designed around a Halo gen filament bulb, working to very precise tolerances. If one places a HID "burner" (bulb) in the headlamp, the beam pattern will not be correct, there will be glare in some places and not enough light in other places within the beam pattern.
  8. Talking of pointless posts of people polishing cars to within an inch of their death.... its been pretty quiet on the jardo front
  9. any normal side on pictures so you can see what it actually looks like?
  10. you only flip the seal if you do it too quickly/forcefully. Gentle force with a pair of adjustable pliers is fine.
  11. i didnt buy the clutch, it was fitted just before i brought the car. to be honest, if they did replace it, it'd properly be with the same shit quality as before, so i'll just buy one from local factors. Just pissed of with myself. I had the box off, it would have been 6 bolts to take the pressure plate off to check the clutch, but i knew it was new, so i thought it must have been the box
  12. Don't know who the manafacturer is yet. I know that people only usually leave feedback when its negative, but ive found NO positive feedback about them. http://www.yell.com/biz/nationwide-clutch-distributors-ltd-blackpool-3014296/ its pretty grim, refusing to give refunds, clutches failing after days/weeks, ect.
  13. Spent the entire day yesturday replacing the gearbox in my car, to find out the clutch is f**ked My own fault for not checking it when the box was out, it was new so i naturally asumed the box was f**ked. The company that the clutch is from are utter c**ts, on Yell there 21 negative reviews about them, so i doubt i'll get it replaced under warrenty.
  14. Etch primer has an acid in it to help bond the primer to difficult surfaces, like gel coating on fiberglass/plastics, ect.
  15. wont you need etch primer considering its GRP?
  16. f**k yeah! still have it in a box under my bed! Talk about retro gaming, can remember playing flimbo's quest on the Commodore 64 in my grandfathers shed!
  17. whats with the masking tape 'Trying' to hide the numberplate?

  19. head gasket? sounds like water's getting into the pistons
  20. Always worth turning up on a Saturday Dan, i always find the boss is away and tyre guys will do it for a bit of cash in hand
  21. meh. if i actually had a nice car, I might make more of an effort with making the bodywork nice. You spend 90% of the time inside the car, why would you care about the outside?
  22. Apart from all of my cars, which are maintained regularly, yet never touch the bodywork
  23. To be fair, Diesel's arnt that bad for smoke/noise these days. Currently driving (well its in the garage atm, but thats a different story ) 1.9TDI 90 golf, and its lively enough to have fun in, however i'd check the insurance if i was you. The bloke i brought it off was paying £250 a month for it, they're group 17 or something.
