  1. yeah, have already looked into the facelift linkage. So do they run the 02J box's across the engine range? Ratios the same, ect?
  2. Guess i've just proved as to why you dont miss it
  3. i know you was joking, so was i Just been a shit weekend. Yesturday was stuck for an hour in tesco car park with the car not starting because the wiring to the clocks was dodgy, then the gearbox shat itself the next day...... hasnt been good
  4. 1.9tdi, agr code, 5 speed i wish and MARTIN you f**ktard!
  5. Managed to completly shit the f**k of out my gearbox today. Advice on replacement gearbox's for mk4 golf? I know theres rod, and early+late cable gear linkage, guessing the only differences apart from gear linakge is going to be ratios? i.e the physical box's are going to be the same?
  6. That's just your girlish legs
  7. even worse when the sensors for the front doors dont work. unlock car, get in, it thinks you havnt gotten in, locks the doors, detects movement, alarm goes off whilst your sat in the drivers seat
  8. If someone leaves the keys in their car, and isn't close enough to the car to try and prevent someone from stealing it, then it invalidates their insurance. Just saying....
  9. heater plugs ,you can take them out and hook them up to a battery to test them
  10. not made for performance, just stops you from smashing the sump on speed bumps.
  11. Looks good Dan, scraped it on anything yet? hit my sump on a speed bump the other day, tempted to raise the engine. Seen these http://www.wellspacedout.co.uk/engine-spacers/mark-4-golf-engine-spacers-15mm then thought they wouldnt be that hard to make?
  12. i hate the 'curved downtube' design. a straight downtube will be lighter, simplier, stronger, and surely wouldnt hinder clearance that much?
  13. New level of ghetto Hows the front done? Differently spaced screw on sprockets?
  14. Was it you i saw in Truro yesturday?
  15. Made a ghetto gear linkage today. Managed to snap the old one, due to it being plastic, so i thought it couldnt be that hard to make my own, and reduce the amount of travel needed aswell. The travel doesnt feel much shorter, but the gear change feels so much tighter than before. The top half of the linkage i snapped: Mocked it up against a bit of aluminuim: Hole drilled and bolt in place: Standard length: the cat "Helping" me Ballsed the first one up by drilling the preload bolt hole way too close, so attempt two! got it right this time!: 3.5mm(ish) reduction, works out about 7% less travel. some nylon spacers to hold the cable end in the correct place. It all in place:
  16. Saw this today mike, made me think of you
  17. shocks wouldnt effect ride height. Springs can sag over time, and due to a car ususally having a driver and no passenger, the drivers side is more likely to sag than the passenger side. Especially if a fat basterd owned it at some point
  18. slap some center caps on there Mike, would make them look hell of a lot better!
  19. Gotta agree. massive amount of bite and hold. Takes some getting used to trying to modulate them due to the bite, but i guess that's all part of the parcel.
  20. if my memory serves me right 100watts, but thats fully passive. The case does have mounting positions for 4 fans though, so you could properly push that a bit further.
  21. Its a Zalman zn500af the case is a 25KG aluminum heatsink. You mount the motherboard in, then heatpipes passivly cool the cpu, northbridge, GC and PSU through the case.
  22. Heat pipes, ect. Finally gunna build this bad boy up
