Even if something has been lost in translation, 25 brain cells is still a questionable number I meant no offence sir rainbird
-
anything times zero is zero?25?
Might want to sort out your syntax. If you're going to call someone out and be a bit of a covert geek about it, do it properly next time
-
Seeing as he was too much if a dumbass to do it, x was equal to the number of f**ks anyone gives on anything cleric says, and incidently also the number if brain cells inside his head.

Clerictgm, I have a formula I'd like you to solve. X=( 25-15)0what did you get?

Jamie Wiltshire, I'm on the maybe list
ice already spoken to Reece as we ride together a fair bit but he's making the journey from where he now works so he can't make it to meYou got Facebook Sherbert Melon? Reece Bradley (reece pogo bradley) might be a good shout to add and message, A few of us are going to book and stop in a hotel on the Friday night and ride Saturday too.......
Edit: Course you do you have seen the event

Looking forward to the Halloween ride in Sheffield, but I have nae means of travelling there, the train fee is ridiculous, and most times I've been on a train to ride with others, it's been cancelled or diverted. I love in leamington spa, (close to coventry) and was wondering if anyone's going to Sheffield to ride vaguely through my direction, and would give me a lift for the chip-in on fuel pricing? Cheers.
EDIT: *live, I hate it anyway, love is too strong a word

I thought the yellow and black colour scheme would look a bit meh, but I love it.Recently took a rather scary fall and so I decided to boost my color scheme a bit, for a fresh start. Echo Lite underneath, ignore the temporary pedals. Couldn't find any photos of my friends Triton mod, but this'll do for the time being. Cheers!

give this man a beer. Well saidWhy are you even interested in what is scientifically "the best brake" when clearly what works for one doesn't always work for another.
Ali C would always go for a V over a magura yet I'm pretty sure there are a number of riders who'd go the other way, some riders will go for a 160mm rotor on a mod whereas I'll always go for a 180mm, one man will choose a smooth rim and tar over a grind and all will argue over which has the best bite and hold.
You could come up with official results of what is the strongest frame, most suitable brake for street trials, tastiest cake on a Thursday morning when it has been raining overnight, it's all bollocks and in the real world doesn't make a difference. Arguing about shite doesn't keep the forum alive, and saying in the other thread the "best brake" question constantly comes up doesn't mean we need NASA to send a Tech Trial and a Saint into space to find out which is most powerful in zero gravity.
When someone asks "what is the best brake for x frame or y style of riding they don't necessarily want the actual 100% accurate truth they just want a few peoples opinions on the matter. I'm pretty sure most of the stuff you post and the bragging about buying all these different things is some kind of ego boost, you seem to get turned on by the need to wind people up and argue insignificant points that in everyday life no one cares about.
If you want to test out what is the "best" brake, frame or whatever then buy yourself a note book, write down your findings and then keep it to yourself as you seem to be the only person actually that bothered about the subject.

that rear caliper mounting position makes me moistSurprised nobody put this forward from years ago, these were awesome!

at this point I don't think anyone mature enough gives a shit about what you say. Some people on TF said that TrialZone is worse than BB7. And TrialZone is nothing but a V2 Race. I think I've already found best brake for me: Tech 3 V4, only need to find good rotors for them. And also I'll try saints to get what's so GODDEST OMFG DIVINE LETS CREATE A SAINTS CULT in them.

Can't go wrong with jitsie pads and ice tech rotors

wrapping duct tape around the pun works too, so I've heard. I believe most/all shimano brakes have a thread on the pin hole so you can remove the pun and replace it with a bolt if you wanted to?I've put a nice stainless steel bolt through mine with a nylock nut on the end
-
-
Oh and I have held a shimano brake in my hands when it was new, and the first thing I did was bend the pins 90 degrees cuz that shit is dangerous.
-
Quick return to the thread, pogo fixed it by putting 3 layers of insulation tape on my pad backings, so the pistons would cut groves for themselves to sit in the tape, and therefore they no longer rock. Hooray! Now, who were we insulting?
-
don't get one then. I love minepersonally i really don't like the way limeys look and ride

Copper grease on the pad backings, it's usually the standard thing to do? If you manage to get copper grease on the pads when you're putting it on the backings, there's something wrong there
I wouldn't put any grease near my brakes. The pad rock (noise) gets less but never ceases completely.
-
touchéBest looking mod? Clearly isitafox.
-
shimano Deore, yep. What brake is it?
would putting copper grease on the pad backings stop the creaking/clunking noise? I'll just have to get used to the rock I guessshimano deore or slx i'd assume.you'll get pad noise with nearly every shimano brake, its normal
-
In this case, pad rock! There's a fair bit of it going on here. Retaining pin moves laterally too. The noise it makes, the "clunk" I'm sure can be fixed with some copper grease, but I'm thinking something's up with my retaining pin? I'm not used to dual disc so it may be my paranoia but it's always good to know. Usually run magura on the rear
