Just to re-assure what everyone else has said, plug the drive in, open Disk Utility found in Applications>Utilities then click on the portable drive there. Go to the "Erase" tab and you can reformat it there with a number of options on how thoroughly you want it done.

Why've you still got Dashboard and Spaces in your dock? Tidy your desktop you lazy shit! and sort out the size of your dock, if you want it to look like mine then... Still looks like that.

6 hours to go, and all I have left is 16 layout sheets which shouldn't take that long, I've also gotta storyboard my 10 second animation, which I've already done on the computer so should be easy. Text a "private" picture to a girl once, somehow her number had got muddled up with my friend Stefans, he ended up with the picture. You can imagine what the reply was. When I first moved into this house everyone was in my house and my laptop and they stumbled across a folder with old "private" pictures of me in, one was then set as my desktop (these pics were 2+ years old), it was embarrassing, but funny!

It's similar to running 22:17 on a stock, or 20:15. Ish... EDIT: Yours is 16 / 12 = 1.33333333 Standard is 18 / 12 = 1.5 Others 16 / 11 = 1.45454545 20 / 15 = 1.33333333 22 / 17 = 1.29411765 22 / 16 = 1.37500 So it could work but it might feel weird. I'd just send it back if I were you.
