  1. That's amazing, well done. Sounds like you did exactly the right thing, must be really weird though. Don't let it f**k you up though - what you did was a really great thing.
  2. Mmm, looks nice. How are the pegs attached? To funbolts? Or to the frame? Good to see one of the old-school riders who quit actually getting back into it anyway Errr, according to which dumbass?
  3. Shut up with the piracy, OK?
  4. Trailer 6 is out and... Just watch it - it's 4 minutes this time, and not quite as annoying as the others, with some mental moves in there. Here's a still:
  5. Haha, that's the second time today you've mentioned that you've met Ryan Leech
  6. QUOTE (hugh_b @ Nov 8 2007, 09:45 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>hey, i have a new macbook and our home computer is an imac g5 both awesome. You can buy office for mac in the apple store and get a student deal if you are one. Mac does have a word type program but i prefer the office package. It has photo editing software. Could be a good idea to go to an apple shop and try one.Apple Pages is the word processor and it's OK, but it's not compatible with Word docs which makes it a bit pointless in my eyes. My mac came with a free 1 month trial of that, but you have to buy the full version. Microsoft Office:Mac is great though. All new macs come with iPhoto which is a kind of photo editing program but it's very basic - certainly no photoshop.
  7. You do get a 20" LCD screen with an iMac though. And keyboard/mouse/software. And it doesn't look like a 13 year old nerd's wet dream. That is all.
  8. Don't be daft, Scopse has no power at all. However, if you want to pay ME, that's a different story. Just kidding.
  9. I think it's true to an extent. However, I'm also sure that 1) You do pay a premium for Apple products. Some people would argue that the premium is worth it in return for a more reliable and (probably more importantly) a good looking system that's fun to use. 2) The market has changed more than Apple's pricing policy. PCs are now all capable of lots of things and you don't need the latest computer to go on the web or even edit video. So while a cheap mac may now be suitable for these things, so will a cheap PC. Macs are reasonably priced if you want a smart, stylish, quiet computer with the spec Apple gives you. But there are literally hundreds of different PCs you could buy for the same amount - waaaay more choice for you to spec exactly what you want. Errrr. That sounded like an answer to an essay question. Too much uni work in my brain
  10. Pretty sure it's not that. The whole engine struggles and splutters sometimes - it's not just the noise that's the problem. I'm pretty sure the air filter (if it is what I think it is) is at the top of the engine, in the middle just behind the bumper. I'll get a picture in a minute just to make sure I'm doing the right thing.
  11. Thanks Mr Punk. I'll give the first one a try but you've lost me on the second one Before I try it, is there anything I should/shouldn't do while messing about in that area? Disconnect the battery?
  12. And people that tell you to just 'pop your head gasket off' as if it's the fuel cap or something? I dunno, he sounds like he knows more about cars than I do
  13. It's the exact same file. Just displayed differently.
  14. I read something in MBUK aaaaages ago about how Ashton had his own mechanic at some bike shop daaahhn sarf. Yeah we believe you. It's just not that exciting, sorry.
  15. Yeah, pretty much. Although some people have worked out there's a terminal command to disable it I think. Quite a lot of OS X stuff is like that - they don't let you change stuff to make it more idiot-proof, but because it's based on *nix, the option will be somewhere, hidden away. My mac isn't even that old, there are plenty of older ones that WILL have transparency. Jesus why do I care so much?
  16. Is this guy telling the truth? I know what a head gasket is, and I'm not going anywhere near it thanks.
  17. I probably never will listen to it all. But the point is that I can
  18. I really do like the way they look - a bit lower than a Leeson or something, but not quite as low as my Zoot. Good video too
  19. That's terrible But either way, if you're going to get the iPod Touch, get the 16Gb one for sure.
  20. Nope, that didn't work Office is stupid. Why is the Mac version better than the PC one?
  21. Shamelessly ripped off another forum - suggestions for the type of bike it was: Cove Stiffee or perhaps a Handjob? DMR Rhythm Kona Stab etc etc
  22. Oh yeah. The iPhone is 8Gb max at the moment. 16Gb would be a bit better I guess. But since it's clearly designed for video, I still think it's not enough. I've pretty much filled up my 30Gb iPod with just music - if I tried to put my video collection on there I'd be a bit screwed (200Gb). I love the fact that all my music is on my iPod - I can listen to anything whenever I want. Whereas I'd need a HUGE player to store all my videos.
  23. Surely it comes down to whether you want to play games or not? The iTouch (actually technically we're not supposed to call them that, it's the iPod Touch) just looks really cool, but I probably wouldn't get one - 8Gb is just not enough. I still want one though!
  24. Apple have just updated this - I'm not sure what computer you have, but they've essentially said it won't work on mine. Ever. (Powerbook G4 1.5GHz and the important bit is the GeForce fx5200 graphics card). For some reason this is actually stopping me buying Leopard - I assumed it would be fixed in 10.5.1. If I get it, I want it to work properly - even though a lot of people have got annoyed at the new menu bar and have disabled it. Hmmm Anyway, you can read the official line here: http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=306894
  25. The pictures should all be embedded in the file though - there are no folders or anything like that - I just downloaded the .ppt file from the net. version (Office XP) has the problems. Cheers anyway.
