  1. There's nothing more to be said really - I'm still pissing myself
  2. They also do hubs which are Chris King money, but I doubt any of it would be suitable for trials.
  3. It's not a Windows feature as such - it's specific to your Wireless card/stick. Basically a lot of wireless cards have two modes of working - one where you install software from the maker of the card, and one where you just use the windows config thing. That box is just asking you to choose which one to use. I would try uninstalling the program for the card - just leave the drivers. Other than that I'm not sure - perhaps updated driver have fixed that issue?
  4. Get out of my brain. I was going to say exactly that.
  5. I'm not sure about that - it's no XC machine, I'm pretty sure it's just supposed to be a trails/street bike. I do know what you mean though - it's a bit boring buying an off-the-shelf bike.
  6. You may be able to tell the insurance company that you don't want either of those options, and they may give you a cheque. That's what happened to me when I told them that Halfords weren't a Leeson dealer On the other hand, you CAN get lots of stuff through Halfords, so that's worth looking at. Also, that DMR from Evans looks pretty nice. Probably a fair bit nicer than what was nicked to be honest...
  7. 360 off? I think too many people think that they can be world champ one day. Actually, that's not quite right. Too many people think that if they can sidehop 52", they'll be world champ standard, because it's something you can easily compare to. When obviously the top riders can do so much more than big TGS. The future? People will probably just ride their bike for fun with their mates, doing what they find interesting. Which is pretty much what most of us do anyway. I really couldn't care less if the world sidehop record has been broken, and it wouldn't change how I rode. So, for me at least, I wouldn't care if a plateau had been reached. Besides, there's always thinner/higher/more wobbly things to ride on, perhaps that's where trials will go. A section made entirely out of scafold poles, hanging in mid air, over a pit of spikes. That's the future. You mark my words.
  8. I like my car, don't want a new one The light came on last night for the first time. Since then it's on whenever the engine is on. The 1.4 16v looks to be the same alternator as the 1.6 - at least for Polos. £150 isn't too bad, but still a lot of money. Is it likely that the alternator has just packed up with no warning?
  9. NEW PROBLEM My alternator light has come on. Fan belt is still intact. The only thing I can think of is that the alternator is f**ked
  10. If you never play games and never intend to, just buy the cheapest card you can. There's no point otherwise. I think pretty much all AGP cards will have two outputs, but just check. By the way, most cards will have a DVI and a VGA port, or just 2xDVI. It should come with a DVI adaptor so you can use 2xVGA screens so don't worry about that.
  11. My bikes (one cheap BMX, one pimp trials bike) got replaced on my parent's home insurance, even though I was a student living away from home. How awesome is that? It was Norwich Union
  12. It is the fanboys like Charlie who make people think that every mac user is a retard. So by ranting, you do yourself or Apple no favours.

    New Trials Shoes

Surely that's a terrible idea - SPD shoes are really stiff!
  14. This is a brilliant blog for funny/interesting pictures: http://damncoolpics.blogspot.com/ Apple stuff (I don't actually read this but some people might like it): http://www.tuaw.com
  15. You will be able to read from it, but not write to it. If the drive is just a backup (or you can back the data up somewhere else), just format it as FAT32 and copy all your stuff back onto it. If it's used for storage then you may have to piss about with partitioning it so you have some of the drive NTFS and some FAT, then copy from the NTFS partition to the FAT, then enlarge the FAT partition and repeat. Which would be a bit annoying (especially if the drive is more than half full) but possible.
  16. I usually watch the youtube version of videos if there's a choice. Yeah, the quality is rubbish but it hardly matters. Although obviously if it's a good video I'll download the proper version (if there is one). People that moan when they're given a free video to watch are stupid
  17. Coke and Hookers? Seriously though, banking it is rubbish. Go on a spending spree
  18. Haha I know! It's all true, but it's much easier to pretend they're young tossers than admit you're an old fart
  19. For once I actually completely agree with you Keep it on topic, and if you really want to argue, bump up one of the other topics in Trials Chats - there have been enough of them!
  20. Swap it with someone else's front axle I took my Mum's

    Pinches?

More air Good tyre (thick sidewalls - dual ply maxxis) Better landings I've never been that fussed about heavy DH inner tubes - I think the tyre makes LOADS more difference. Maybe someone will disagree with that though? Maybe wider rims? Try the other things first though obviously.
  22. Er yes?! It's not solid. It's not a gas. Therefore it's liquid*. *It's not a f**king plasma either before some smartarse quotes me. I used that once, it didn't work. Can't quite remember why but I think it's a bad idea. I think it leaks too easily - I had an RB lever though, it might be OK with a standard lever. To be honest, if it's cold enough for brake fluid to freeze, I'd rather be inside by a log fire, smoking a pipe and reading the Telegraph (or something)
  23. Nah, Club Trop at the Academy. Dirrrrty. 5th Ave was good too, now it's just full of young tossers 8p Noodles are a stupid idea IMO. Maybe as a snack, but unless you're seriously short of cash (I.e. can't afford bus fares/phone credit/alcohol) they're just completely unnecessary, and a pretty terrible thing to eat.
