There's very little difference really. Longer cranks make the gearing slightly easier, but that's about it. I'd probably go for 170mm for that tiny bit of extra clearance.

Yeah, it would be pretty swish. But I'm pretty sure most "normal" people can't begin to do it. There's just something in his brain that is way different to most people. Like they said on the program - he probably has a form of Autism, but also has more social skills that a lot of autistic people.

Just do something else at uni (Like essay writing - you have a skill for that :) ). Have a laugh. Get a degree. Get a decent job. At the end of the day, the likelihood of you actually getting a job playing music is pretty slim, degree or not. A guy I live with is doing music (BMus or something). He plans to do a Masters and then just give it up and get a "normal" job.

All Dell are P4, by the way. I'm sure you knew that Andy but some people might not. In fact AMD are currently sueing Intel for their monopoly on the market and forcing Dell to use only Intel CPU's. I use a Dell at work (P4 2.8GHz), and I have to say, it's the quietest PC I've ever used/heard. So quiet you can barely hear the fans. You can if you try, but it is nearly silent. Probably isn't up to much graphics wise, but it doesn't need to be. Conversely my A64 shuttle is a noisy little bugger. Most of it is graphics card fan though. I think: If I didn't play games on my PC, I'd just buy a cheap laptop. Everyone seems to need the most expensive laptop at the time, but 99% of people don't need it. For general buzzing around the internet, a cheap laptop would be fine. And obviously portable = better. But as Steve said, if you're doing lots of CAD, you should probably look at something quite powerful, with a decent graphics card. Which basically means a desktop (unless you're willing to throw money at this PC). Something like a shuttle coupled with a nice thin TFT would be pretty portable and small, yet have all the functionality of a "proper" PC :) Oh, and don't worry too much about the wireless - even if the computer doesn't come with it, you can just buy a wireless (PCI/PCMCIA) card for less than a tenner.

I've not had any problems with AVG Free Edition - Grisoft. Plus it's free and legit :) Some people say AVast is better. But I've not tried it :lol:

The programw as about these kids who were doing their GCSEs and had had 26 different supply teachers in one year. I.e. They learnt nothing. I don't see what it's got to do with being "chavs"?
