That (The first one) was one sweet video! I was a bit bored by the flatland (Extremely difficult I know, but still boring), but the other sections were mental. What a sweet house too - A nice half pipe into loads of massive dirt jumps! Good work (Y)

The blue dragon is good, seeing as you asked (Y) I want a Maxxis that won't fold as much as my 2.30 Tioga DH. Should I go for 2.35 or the 2.50?
-
Yup, I'll second that.

Help Needed. Are You A Hairdresser Or Is Your Mum?
Tomm replied to Joe Papasnap Maher's topic in Chit Chat
f**k that. It'd be at least like £40... -
It's not like you can have the best of both worlds. They aren't as good as stocks for rolling up stuff and taps, and they aren't as good as mods for twitchyness. But everything in trials is a compromise anyway, and 24" is a good compromise if you like street.

Some guy bet me £4 I wouldn't do a 5ft drop. And so I did, and I got the money. And that was the happiest day of my life.

Mine's almost completely silent. No squeak. No whoosh. And still the brake is awsome. It's weird. Loads of modulation and power, but next to no "bite". By that I mean it'll still lock when you squeeze it, but it's really predictable and not grabby at all. Smooth rim (Rhyno lite since you asked) Heatsink Konigs (Not great on a grind, but awsome on a smooth rim) I'm not sure how well it'll work in the rain though, but that's not really a problem for a mincer like me.

The one thing wrong with my 24" is that bloody Tioga on the back. Absolute wank. Gonna get a maxxis 42a on the go ASAP :shifty:

Yes, Here. And advantages? Mark is right really. Slightly easier to chuck about - flicky like a mod, but not "hoppy". Basically just ideal for the streetier side of things, and just generally quite nice to play around on. I love mine :D Spokes. Gearing -you might want a slightly different ratio to 26", but perhaps not a massive difference. I went from 22:18 on the 26" to 20:16 on the 24". Pretty much no difference, but some people might need to change. And I'm running 26" tubes in mine. So just change the frame, rims, spokes, tyres and maybe forks as Matt said :shifty: As for where to get the frames - Leeson Curtis That's about it at the moment. Ashton made one a while ago at £365, and then later sold the frames off cheap for £150 each. If you still want an Ashton, you can pay full whack HERE.

WTF, I downloaded the whole thing at 400 kbps :( I can't believe Vincent dabbed! Anyway, nice one for doing that Mike.

That is the coolest bike in the whole of TF :)
-
What about a Revel? Bit more expensive but they look awsome. Or if you want a lovely long low silver bike, what about a Toxsin or a T-Rex (C'mon, it's a Coust in disguise ffs :( ). Pitbull copy from Dan Ko?

I was kinda being serious. If you are right foot forward, you have: Foot > Pedal > Crank > Bashring > Chainring > Chain But for Left foot forwards: Foot > Pedal > Crank > Dodgy crank/bb interface > axle > Dodgy crank/bb interface > Crank > Bashring > Chainring > Chain So there will be some difference. But I doubt anyone will be able to feel it :(

1040//74//+25 CK dropouts, Square BB. And as for the bits: Just what you can see really + CK hub on the back, Hope front (both silver), EA50 bars, RaceFace Prodigy stem (mmm creaky (Y) ), hope headset. Rhynolite and Atomlab DHR rims. Square taper cranks (working fine) and Echo Urban forks (boo hiss :D ). Yeah, I was trying to surprise you Mark. It's cool, definitely glad I got it. Just a nice bike for bombing around the streets on :)
-
I heard that if you buy from a proper importer, the frames are 100% finished :(
-
Nah, there's really f**k-all difference. Just ride whichever way's comfortable. Don't want to give the impression that people should try to ride right-foot-forwards, when they are naturally left footed! Yeah, fair enough you should be able to hop to the left and to the right etc, but I bet Hoffman doesn't ride switch footed. In BMX, there's no point. In fact in trials there's hardly any point, but it seems pretty fashionable at the moment :(
-
Noooooo! Everyone must have used those cranks in their riding career, but they're awful. If you can get the tapers to last longer than ten minutes, you're doing well. Also they are bendier than, um, Bill Clinton's knob (Oooh, I'm so naughty!). The DDG ones might be a bit better, but I've not used them. I would really just save up for some Middleburns, which will work out cheaper than powerpros in the long run. But either of your suggestions will do until you can afford some 'Burns :(
-
Yeah well spotted! Clive machined it for me when he did the bike. He sold me the cranks, and machined them so that the KMC (wide) would fit, and took a bit off the outside for the 20t (Rather than the 22t). He even machined my spacers on the back down to get a perfect chainline. If that ain't service I don't know what is!

They're orange... And I dunno. I think it looks nice. I need to spray my forks black, really. But perhaps I'll just ride it instead :(
-
AND If you are right foot forwards, you are more connected to the drive train of the bike, so you won't get as much flex in the cranks/bb spindle... I wish I could ride with either foot. I can hardly trackstand wrong foot forwards :ermm:

Don't mind if I do. Gallery Link There are also a lot of pictures of Leeson 609's on the Leeson website HERE.

Good points :( I showed her the Specialized and she liked the look of that, but I'll definitely suggest the hybrids to her :ermm:

I've just gone from ISIS burns to Square ones, and I have to say that I probably wouldn't spend extra to get ISIS again. Aside from the fact that the cranks themselves are more expensive in ISIS, you also have to pay more for your BB's (plural :( ), and I certainly can't feel the difference in terms of stiffness. Just keep an eye on the bolts every now and again and you'll be fine :ermm:

Didn't that helmet fail British Standards or something? I thought Bongo said that a while ago. Basically, I don't think foam helmets are good for you in a high-speed crash. But for the average trials rider/BMXer who just wants his helmet to take the odd knock, they're probably ideal.
