Yes, but is it possible to ever get onto eBuyer's site? :S

That's technology for you. My camera was around £200 a year ago :S Still, I've got some great photos to show for it, and you can't always wait for next year's prices... I think 10 pics/second is a bit hopeful on a cheap camera, but mine does 5 in quick succession. I didn't actually realise you could combine it with the timer, but you can. Although there is a 10 second delay, followed by the five pictures. Might still be hard to time it right. Although it does give you some warning beeps. Having said that, the updated model might be better, or maybe worse to save costs. Not sure, but my camera looks nothing like the one in the picture (although the feature list is almost identical)!

I'm sure you are aware that image quality is not completely defined by the number of pixels. However, more pixels is pretty much always better - Allows you to zoom in on a photo and cut some of the background out or something. If you can, try and take some photos in different scenarios and see what the colours look like. With my camera, it takes really nice, vibrant photos in bright daylight/outside in the daytime. In the dark, the flash tends to make everything looked a bit washed out. Switch the flash off and the pics look good, but are very blurry (holding the camera in your hands is not an option - tripod required). Although I think that is something that all digital cameras suffer from. The other thing is photos in snow aren't great either. In that respect, I've heard good things about the Olympus Mu cameras, but they are definitely pocket-sized and perhaps suffer from the problems your Casio had. As for videos and frame rate, I wouldn't bother. Get a camera that does nice photos. Digital cameras are never great for video, really. I can't really fault my camera - it's stuck with me through everything, and even worked when I poured beer in the battery slot ( :S ) It's an Olympus C360z - Might be worth looking at the C370Z (updated model). I'm pretty sure that fits the bill (apart from the video which I imagine is 320x240x25fps like mine). Not too expensive either. How much were you wanting to spend?

 What did you do Xdream? I got pulled by the police once(driving in bus lane :S - Although it was the middle of the night with no one around) , and the guy was a knob. [smug voice]"Are you... A Taxi?"[/smug voice] :P

They melt the metal first :S

Aw damn, I thought I'd just got away with it. But it's tomorrow!

Yes, they are extruded. Extrusion: The act or process of shaping by forcing through a die. Or, for you Dave: :S"

And it is bad for you because you don't have a wide enough gene pool, so the chances of getting rare autosomal recessive diseases are much higher than in the general population. 50% of all inbred children (cousins, mother/son, father/daughter, uncle/niece etc) have learning difficulities. 25% severe learning difficulties. As Mark would say, The more you know™

Ah, Firefox is useful and doesn't play sounds like that (N)

I remember when some people from TF got done for riding on a car. They only got caught 'cos they put the photos on their website...

Some knobs in Liverpool did this to some guy - set him on fire. He got massive burns to his arms/chest and face, he looks a mess. The wankers that did it videoed it and then got arrested, haha. I think they got the book thrown at them - attempted murder for both of them if I remember rightly. No more than they f**king deserve.

Yeah it was on here a while back, but there's more videos now. It's a fake.

Some people do it differently. A guy in Lancaster who I used to ride with regularly, he used to do nearly a 180* kick. His gaps were pure pedal power. But he was really good at gapping, could do 7ft at least on his Pace. But more people do a lot less. To be honest, I don't reckon I actually pedal any more than the average backhop. I do a more powerful stroke jab almost and a big jump. The power should come from the jump, rather than the pedals. Although when I'm in the air, I often spin the pedals a bit further round. But I don't think that matters (N)

Anyone know if it should work on a Nokia 3220? Doesn't seem to want to at the moment, should I give up?
-
Thanks for that... Yeah, I was thinking about that. But adding weight to a trials bike is a silly idea. However, maybe it would be possible to manufacture some pedals which had an ecentric axle, so they fell to that position automatically. Would be ideal, really. No idea how feasible it is though. Any manufacturers listening, steal my idea and make it :)

Let's be fair, they are the lightest (?) pedals about, and probably amongst the grippiest, and they aren't too expensive. A couple of downsides though: I don't exactly try and hit my pedals (I never intentionally bashguard anything), but it clearly happens a lot, by accident. I've lost loads of pins on my pedals (you don't have to hit them very hard) and it's annoying! The other thing is, they're too sharp. I took a huge chunk out of my leg the other day, and that was through trousers! I'm scared of riding in shorts now! For those two reasons, I'd probably just get V8s/VPs next time (N) Oh, and taking the pins on one side out is bloody annoying to ride with!

While we're here, is there any way to put a lock on a folder/file, so that you have to type a password to get at it?

Another convert (N) Downloads are another thing that is nicer in Firefox. Dunno why it crashed though. Never does for me. Actually, that's a lie, it crashed the other day in Fedora. But never in windows :)
