I don't have any interest in taking the moral high ground on this one to be honest. I'm more interested in JT's excuse - he's basically been slagging Mark off for, as far as I can tell, no good reason at all. That's pretty much out of order.

What are the chance of Mark and JT reaching some sort of middle ground bearing in mind the stubbornness in this thread? Perhaps Mark should have just left the topic and gone away, but he closed it instead. The topic was over, the question had been answered - leaving it open didn't affect anything but your right to argue the unarguable. I really don't know why this is a big deal.

EDIT: Too slow There's two things wrong with that: 1) You didn't say they don't taste different to you. You said that one was a rebadged version of the other. 2) Just because (yesterday you said) you can't taste a difference, doesn't mean there isn't one. See 'I can't believe it's not butter'. That's true but I simply don't think any of the mods close topics just because they don't like them. I'll let you into a secret: The 'Post a picture of your girlfriend thread' was dirty, demeaning and just not very nice for a forum that's supposed to be about bikes. It stayed open because a lot of people wanted it open, even though pretty much ALL of the seniors/mods thought that it was wrong. Any one of the mods could have closed it at any point. It only got closed/deleted when someone posted child porn... My point is that the mods don't just go around doing what they want! C'mon, how hard is it to find the Photography thread? It's the one with several hundred pages of replies that always hovers around the top of chit chat. When it gets changed to the Photatography thread, people didn't even notice for the first week. I'm sure more people found it amusing than confusing
