  1. WE CAN'T WIN surely you can see this? No amount of names or trials riders chaining themselves to every town hall in the country is going to help us. People see us a trouble makers, I know we aren't, but thats how they see us and nothing is going to change that, specially all those old buggers we know too well. Even if everyone started to ride natural and never went on the streets you'd still get complaints from dog walkers or forestry people. I usedto ride round the woods behind my house before I started trials and almost every time I went out we'd get talked to by some 60+ pensioner. The only way we can make it the slightest bit bigger is do as they say, then when the time is right, ride in the place again, as its been said earlier in this topic, at night or at weekends in industrial estates when no-ones around. I know it's hard but we've got to have more of a low profile, the word of trials will still continue to spread, slowly but surely through the internet or by word of mouth. I support trials obviously and there are people out there who do not ride but still think that having such skills on a bike is good, impressive even. That is why sometimes you get crowds of (pedestrian) people gathering round where someone is 'performing'. All is not lost.
  2. I've just been downloading this vid for over an hour, it got to 99% complete and then AOL decided it was going to crash! :P (Y) :D . Will edit when I finally get the vid.
  3. Would they send me a couple of new hub springs? Because one of mine is bent which seems to make the pawl stick in the spring cavity bit. Maybe thats why my hub skipped really loudly just recently and made it feel loose and rickity.
  4. Thanks, anyone else? I know that sometimes people ride in Reading, Oxford and Abingdon.
  5. Looking for riders living or riding in this area, including in or near towns: Goring, Woodcote, Streatley, North Reading, West Reading, Newbury, Wantage or Watlington? Will be in this general area soon. Any posts will be appreciated if you know the area or people that do. Anybody that attends 6th form in this area as well? Cheers. Tom.
  6. Thats pretty cool although, in each case it looks like the basketball is going too fast for the speed the skater threw it at. Skill or trickery, either way impressive. If its skill, imagine how much practise that would have taken, obviously not included in the vid. :)"
  7. Haha, got to be (without noticing) the gayest post ever, think Joe's mind was elsewhere. Cool vid, just pure natural riding. I didn't really think it was repepitive, just made it easier to appreciate the riders skills.
  8. I think Danny was right with Liquidizer.
  9. I don't like spiders or the thought of mosquitos sucking your blood without you knowing and maybe giving you some disease. I also have vertigo, not good when you're a trials rider.
  10. I read Headline number 2, its totally wrong that someone can be jumped up on, pushed to the ground and be in hospital for two days and with just a "very likely" chance that the attacker will receive a caution over the incident! She should be banged up in a prison like in 'Bad Girls' that'd sort her out.
  11. Sounds a little expensive to me, maybe check that it's owned by who its said it is cos I can't see why an 'old lady' would have nice stainless exhausts or stripes over the car (Cooper style.) Hasn't done many miles though which sounds good. Could have a good deal in your hands there. If you're thinking about the Mini City, make sure you know what it looks like first because the 'City E' version doesn't usually have very nice interior/wheels. Most people seem to go for Mayfairs or Coopers if they can afford it.
  12. Funny how everyone in this topic was around the age of 5-6 when they 'saw' a ghost, kids say they've seen or done strange things at that age. Imaginary friends for example, or when they just make up random things to get the attention of parents.

    Hot Weather

I prefer riding when its cool or cold like in the winter. I seem to get really hot fast.
  14. Think my Tibo's about 25-26lbs with front disk, Singlespeed and downhill tube in rear.
  15. I have some control on the back wheel for things like forward hopping, gapping and some smaller drops but I still lack the balance and confidence to slowly and with small hops, hop off a drop cos I feel like the front is going to come down, I also have problems with 90ing on thin walls, keeping the front up after a gap/drop and hopping on the spot when setting up for gaps and side-hops (which I still can't do.) I guess it all comes with practise. I can endo, pivot, stoppie and things on the front but nothing any good like switches or 180 front hops.

    More Hermance

Just got the video and I think there's some good footage of the amazing rider, but I was expecting more for the relatively long time it took to download. I s'pose the quality was good though.

    £2500 Fine.

Does that count for the likes of LimeWire where it says 'you are currently sharing: 4 files' or whatever the number might be? Cos I only download them, not send em out to loads of people yet theres that thing. (Y)

  19. 86.5 is my highest, 4th or 5th attempt.
  20. I had Biology today, I think it was pretty easy, although I was expecting a really difficult question to come up but it never did. Got Maths paper1 tomorrow (Y) I hope I do OK.

    Pizza

The pizzas with all the meat on, don't know what they're called, from Pizza Plus.
  22. I really don't mind the ban of hoods being UP indoors because I hardly ever put it up at all let alone indoors where its warm and dry. Hoodies, the hooded jumper itself has been banned in my (soon not to be) school for these stupid people who supposedly run about in corridors, hoods up, kicking, punching and generally upsetting other people. I for one, even though there are alot of chavs in my school, have never seen this happening. IF the hoodie itself was banned in public why not ban rain coats and any other type of hooded garment? Because of non-visability from CCTV cameras or just the laws eye. It is people who dress townie like (in my area anyway) who I believe are the trouble makers. I only have 1 or 2 townie mates, but still know that these chavs that dress this way ARE the trouble makers, all in all. We are stopped by Police and other 'safey' figures for just sitting around, walking, riding or just talking HOODS DOWN and quietly for damage and grafiti and its all the chav brigade. Call it descrimination if you will but its true.
