  1. Alright then, he's a rough rider and has donned the style of us Europeans! No suspension forks, riser bars or thin style Mavic/Sun rims. Suprised me, if no-one else.
  2. Found this on pinkbike: Koxx, expanded it's reach across to Canada? One of the most rough riders going long low and silver? :-
  3. Yeah! Cadburys does seem to be invincible! But this one isn't :- har har har
  4. I don't think thats too bad, as long as you like eachother. The age gap may seem a bit big to start with but it'll get smaller and smaller as time goes on! When you're both in your 20's it'll seem like nothing. I'm 16 and theres a girl I like who's in the year below so that 'divide your age by 2 then add 7' works perfectly! Hope I can get with her..... :- Two of my mates have gfs a year younger and you can hardly tell the difference.
  5. Hehe, great game. I had a character you CAN'T feel sorry for - George Bush, was great beating him up. I've had all the weapons too
  6. I, like Todge, haven't got a clue what to do what so ever. I'm not sure if I'm about the money+boring job to get it or great job+crap pay. I could try and be clever and find somewhere/a job thats really needed in the UK e.g. electrician, plumber, those sort of people except I'm not that sort of a person. For the moment just wanting to pass my GCSEs this year, do well at College then go to Uni. I'll be pretty poor by then though, I'm gonna be at college from 9-4 every day so no chance for a part time job unless it's from 4pm onwards or at weekends, no time for riding :- Tom.
  7. Odered my kit, in the end, from helicoils.net this morning, they do M5s I just gave them a ring to ask and they were very helpful. Should have it by Friday. Would be good if Halfords could do it but I doubt my local has the tools or the knowledge. (Y)
  8. Looks quite cool. You do look quite young in that pic, also at the age of 13, have 2 'pornstar poses'! :P" (Y)

As everyone else has said, just get out and ride alot. You'll soon get used to it, the bikes got a pretty short wheel base but not that short so it'll take some getting used to from a mod that you get the instant acceleration and back-wheelage on. The rear rim and tyre you suggested will do you grand. Good luck.
  10. I've seen those Syncros tyres around and they look very interesting. From experience though I'd say Maxxis Minion 2.5 DH Rear Dual Ply Super Tacky for definate. Very good tyre, specially on a wide-ish rim, just grips great!
  11. I don't know what the bike looks like or what colour scheme it has, but I can't imagine a bike looking good with blue or green bars. So I vote red. Edit: just realised what bike it is and maybe green'd be better, can't say I like any of those colours really though.
  12. I'm having that exact problem at the moment, stripped one of the 4 bolt mount threads. There aren't any engineering companies that I know of near me so I googled it and found this: http://www.toolsnextday.ltd.uk/Helicoil_Ki...licoil_kits.htm £25 for an M5 helicoil kit with 10 inserts including VAT and next day delivery if ordered before 12 noon, I've been phoning all morning and can't get through though. .
  13. One thing I notice about trials motorbikes is the disk brakes and the rotors are so small! How do they have enough power, especially the back one? Having to stop and hold 150lb+ of bike and a rider! I guess motorbike brakes are special and strong no matter how heavy the bike, they are 4 pot so.....
  14. I haven't seen that one before, you can definately see the competition with the likes of Koxx *cough* headtube *cough* and Zoo and Coust with the general shape. Looks pretty cool IMO. Have they named it yet?
  15. ..."having a cup of tea with spongebob square pants"...
  16. "Hastings to wash himself in the sea before congratulating...."
  17. This for a college interview or similar? When I had mine, the guy interviewing me just flicked tru my folder and was more interested in my certificates and taken early GCSEs so I'd say put in what needs to be said (look on google or get a template for them from somewhere) and basically, when you have the interview talk normally, get eye contact every so often and be friendly! Good luck.
  18. I had to have 4 teeth out at once! Me and my mum thought I'd have 2 out at the most at one time, but 4!! The things that scare me are: Heights - that feeling that you can't balance near a big drop and feeling like you're gonna go off it (bit like the front wheel dropping when trials riding). I don't like spiders much and the dark can be scary at times. I sliced my finger open the other day getting it stuck in my disk rotor. That was scary cos you don't know if you've cut it bad or broken it until the blood starts bleeding or the pain comes, luckily it healed up and was fine. Sounds funny, but girls are scary. I get really nervous and shy when I want to ask a girl out. It's actually really un-nerving. Probably the fear of rejection.
  19. LYNX DRY Touch anti-perspirant deodorant is good.
  20. TRA: Wish I was as good as Benito Hermance: How big's that drop from the van? Guy with white tee: This bloke's sooo boring Benito: Should I Go for the 12ft drop or the 9ft gap? Edited, that ok now Tart?

Can this be done the other way around? Adding spacers to a 68 to get a 73?
  22. Hey Seb, maybe try one of KMC's other chains. The ones designed for gears? I'm running an 8-spd KMC called the Z180 or something like that. Not sure if they come in 9 speed though.
  23. Bummer dude, haven't heard of hardly any Fattys breaking either! Bad luck! I was thinking of getting some Ashton fatty replica thingys until I heard about the disk mounts being welded on wrong so you have to get 163, 183, 203 rotors, or whatever the measurements are. The forks themselves seem alright though, haven't heard any complaints.
  24. Cool, I reckon you should ask for something more substancial to the manifesto one though, looks a bit small.....maybe add some rails and larger gaps/drops.
  25. Maybe not, because as mike said to the guy that asked about you being on your back if the 'liquid' latex got on your rim.....if it's still wet, as it's water soluble, you can wipe it off with a damp cloth....and if it's already dry, peel it off! Why not use a combination of both options, use a sliced up inner tube as the rim-strip and bung some liquid latex in too! Might work out cheaper. you could use some rim tape or gaffa tape to stop it ripping on the spokes too. He didn't actually mention anything about drilled rims though....maybe normal rimtape, some duck tape over that AND a sliced up innertube with latex'd work??
