After using Anal's disc, I now use the same, wouldn't use anything else.

One word: "Matt" Should see more of it on trials frames, I'm fed up of seeing shiny glossy finishes.

That's spot on. The selection policy also says: "Selections may be made of younger, or less experienced riders who have an identified need to experience competition at this level and are deemed to have the potential to win medals in Major Championships in future years." So why don't they fill the places up, give Joe extra experience and maybe next year he'll be getting better results. It's understandable if the team was full but it's not. If the team isn't full, what's the point in not giving someone the chance. Are British cycling too ashamed if someone doesn't make the top 10? Why don't we all just give up now, we may aswell, nobody is going to get anywhere. This wouldn't matter if it was Joe or another rider at a similar level, it's the Selection process Jack and other people seem to be questioning.

The marina? In crosby? Or do you mean the docks?

Does this guy have any concept of physics. The fence snap and the gap to front on a tiny wobbly light stool that just fell over and smashed, what did he think was going to happen? 3:30 you'd make sure you landed on the edge more than anything so you don't overshoot, but my god he was miles past the edge. Some really good riding though. The last clip was crazy.

This kind of sounds tempting, I finish at 4 on a Sunday so I'll be looking to go somewhere, could be there for 5/5.30 if anyone thinks they'll still be about, I'll have to see tomorrow day.

I can ride most evenings.

It can't be because of his results. He was: 2nd at round 1 "British National Trials Cup" so they say. 1st At British National Trials Championship at Fort William 1st at British National Trials cup at Fort William (Round 2) He's been at all 3 world cup rounds this year and is at the fourth round this weekend. If there's space in the team and he's not being allowed the go, I'd be interested to know why.

Surely that's more expensive to be buying from Spain at the moment with the exchange rate and delivery costs. Plus Madison have the sole rights to Import Shimano into the UK. Had you tried getting Shimano from any of the many other distributors? Does anyone ever wonder how many people at Raleigh read newspapers haha.

The Name Of The James Mays Co Driver On Top Gear?
totaltrials replied to LukasMcNeal's topic in Chit Chat
She was clearly told to be stupid, ditsy and annoying. It was so obvious. Half of Top Gear is a sham. Not like I care, I still love it. I'm glad someone has some sense. -
Massi the cycle manufacturer? Halfords is the Uk's biggest cycle retailer and they take up around 27% of the cycle industry I think I remember reading recently. The £70 Asda bikes are really grinding my gears lately. Asda do not make a penny of the sale of those bikes, they are completely non profitable. God knows how many people will be riding about with their forks on backwards because they are backwards in the box. It shouldn't be allowed for a start as it's hugely unsafe.
-
Does that mean it's not good then? Some massive stuff going down, and it must take a lot of skill and technique to get those right. When you go big like that so much can go wrong and he nailed a lot of stuff. I enjoyed it.

Binge Drinking Trials Riders Out There Be Warned!
totaltrials replied to Rusevelt's topic in Chit Chat
I didn't say anything about yourself. So that's probably why you can't find anything. None of that was aimed at yourself. You aren't the only straight edge person in the world. -
I take it those tables are solid enough. I've just got hold of a load of wood and was about to do something similar, just wasn't sure if they'd be strong enough. Also, have you just nailed the wood together or used screws.

Binge Drinking Trials Riders Out There Be Warned!
totaltrials replied to Rusevelt's topic in Chit Chat
I hate it when people who're straight edge think they're better than everyone else. One of the comments people come out with which really annoys me: "I don't need alcohol or drugs to have a laugh". I don't care what people do, drink, smoke or take drugs, it's up to them, but as soon as the line "I'm straight edge" comes into it, they've taken it from not drinking alcohol, taking drugs or smoking to a fad or an accessory that you can't see so they have to blab it about to fit in. -
We would do the Tekiya bike and fit a single speed spacer kit and tensioner to the bike all for £239. Thanks. Phil.

With the Tekiya bikes be aware if you buy one online in a box they aren't set up. It's usually ok but the Tekiya isn't built with the correct parts. They do give you the correct parts to change around but your have to do this yourself. I think it's the bottom bracket, driveside crank and bashguard that needs changing. The Tekiya is a decent bike, I even prefare it to the higher model (Kabuki mono). The V-brakes a very good and it comes with some half decent components, especially for the price. We have one in the shop now (Selectbikes) fully built and ready to go. If you wanted to buy one and change it to singlespeed we could do that for you for a small amount extra. It'd be a case of changing the cassette to a single cog, adding spacers and changing the mech to a single speed tensioner. We can look into it and do you a cheaper price for the extra parts and fit them for free. We have the bike on sale at £219 and comes proffesionally built up and ready to go if you collected it from the shop (Merseyside), otherwise it'd just be a case of putting the bars on and the front wheel from out of the box. You can call the shop on 0151 527 1537 if you want to discuss anything (Selectbikes/Maghull Cycles). Thanks. Phil.

You only need to watch the last 10minutes. Or watch the time trials. The rest can be pretty boring. "And we have a break away" "And the group has caught him up" Basically all it is. Come on team Felt/Garmin.

It's silly to us but not to a coin collector who'll pay big dolla for a 20p coin without the date on.

I've used a lot of different cables, odysey linear slick, avid flack jackets, jagwire outers. Best is usally XTR. I don't know why. As for an inner cable, get a stainless steel coated/slick cable. Jagwire do a good Slick stainless inner cable for quite cheap. Never get just a normal galvenised cable, they aren't good and belong on average every day bikes. Spend an extra £1.5-/£2 on a good cable. Nokon cables are meant to be very good, I'm going to try them next just for the fact they don't flex at all. I've tried the test they have for them which measures the amount of flex compared to a normal cable and it's much better. If you need any of these cables I have loads, I can sort you out with a kit.

Peoples Market. Very stretchy jeans they are. Good though.

Get a seat.

I used to use one of them on the front. Felt very nice and worked pretty well. Infact, it was probably the best most consistent disc brake I've ever had.
