Ahhhhh the days when doing 180 endos was impressive! One of my favourite videos ever! We used to dream of having a 'BEAST OF THE EAST' so much so if someone offered to sell me one now Ird buy it through sheer excitement! Up load the rest of the vid if you have it - there was a small trailer of some other vid in it with jamie tomkins and some others which was the best video ever to get you pumped up and in the mood for riding - the steve peat section was wkd as well - gt lts and zaskars! Those days when you rode your bike miles through the woods and then go home and clean it up so you can ride trials on the street later!! Awesome!! Good find

Its too much - your riding is just a joke - Im a science teacher at a college and im passing this onto my mate the physics teacher to show the kids - because if this doesnt blow their minds to bits then I dont know what will! Although he may find it difficult to explain how this follows the laws of physics!! You are raising the standard so much it makes me think the stuff im aiming at doing is just too low if what your doing is possible! So your pretty much single handedly raising everybodies game! Yo will Vid was quality, but as the others say drum and bass esp dillinja is just too mental for the vid - i think it works for trailers of vids with just clip after clip of sick tricks and mental stuff - but rock and hip hop are the real trials tunes i think. But glad to hear others apprieciate break beats! - I love drum and bass and have done for years - so if you ever want any tunes then let me know! Ibs

Best way imo is to go down to your local bmx track and try pumping through the doubles instead of jumping them - if you mannual through you get used to the feeling of doing it without touching the brake which 9/10 is the problem, either grabbing it or dragging it so you loose momentum. I used to drag the brake so my mannuals were vertical and people always said it looks so odd, but i went to the track a few times and then could just do it without thinking of the brake. Keep on it and you have them quicker than you know!

It shocks me to think that people that engage in sports as potentially dangerous as this, do so with people who havent got the first idea about what to do if anybody hurts themselves! Its almost a certainty that people will get hurt to some extent doing what we do, yet not many take any time to find out what to do in these situations. I ride with a group of riders and when we built a new set of trails the first thing we did was asked the council to organise a work place first aid course for all of us to go on. Since doing it we all still know a decent amount, enough to keep us from wondering what we would do if anybody ever crashed badly. We saw one guy crash over shoot a jump at chicksands and smash f'ing hard face first into the next kicker, and when it happened we saw all these tough guy bikers suddenly act like helpless children when they saw their mate lie there bleeding. One guy went over and the only thing he could think of doing was to tell his mate to get up!! The guy could hardly speak let alone get up! but we understood that he just wanted to help his friend but didnt have a clue how. The main shocker in that clip as most have pointed out is the fact that you can hear the guy gargling his own blood i.e collecting in his airways, i.e struggling to breathe! - all they had to do is lie him in the recovery position so blood and fluid will come out of his nose/mouth, but nobody knew, because they have never been taught. Its situations like this that make me wonder why first aid is not part of the national curriculum - we spend 16years there, surely there is a few mins to spare to learn stuff that will stand you in a good postion to save somebody's life. All fair and well me having my rant and not being in that situation, however if i ever was unfortunate enough to be in that sort of situation, I know that the guys I ride with know enough to deal with the situation in the best possible way. Moral of the story We all ride in pretty big groups, ring up your council and ask them to book you on a work place first aid course so that you and those you ride with will be prepared if anything ever happened.

Yeh its the same story all over by the looks of things - Im feeling an overwhelming amount of reassurance that the thing to do if you want just less hassle in your life is just avoid at all costs! Police get more powers i.e. ASBOS and still dont do anything for the everyday law abiding person, I think waynio's malitia squad is sounding like it may have some business coming its way - the A-TEAM of the bike world!

Very good thread - I was about to hand over the cash for a GU for summer riding but after reading this and the OTN article im not going to be so hasty with handing the cash over to the tart. I started ages ago riding a rockhopper xc frame, which i added azonic risers, fsa cranks, lx hubs on 521's etc (anybody old enough to have the same origins?) anyway so im thinking the pulling up and throwing my back wheel at things is defo my style of riding, but I feel abit limited now by how high i can hop up so im thinking this whole high bb might be a good way to freshen up the riding?
