  1. Sweet pics, that bashring looks crazy, you can tell he doesnt need it much lol. I bet it weighs very little
  2. I understand what you mean as i had trouble on my old planet x zebdi frame with evo mounts and a d521, all you can do is to make sure the wheel is sat perfectly true in the frame then fit the mounts on loosely with the calipers in them and line one side up (the side that the booster bolts onto) so that the pad is perfectly square to the rim and about a mm away, the easy way to do this is to snap an old cd in half and place it between the pad and rim, then push the caliper onto the cd to keep the aligment square, then move the mounts so that they are straight up. Also check that the plastic elbows are against the frame. Tighten the bolts now and repeat for the other side. Your brake should be square and straight now.
  3. Water, understandable if you dont have the proper fluid  Tar, in sumer, yes! Using tar in winter is a definate no no, it just turns to residue, however in summer it is perfect as if you are like me and love manualing and other such moves a grind eats your pads away and is too noisy. Tar on the other hand makes your brake awesome if you put a little on and it wears off if you dont want it on your rim anymore (Y)
  4. Yep, my mate is ordering his gothic rotor from hope soon, he runs a front m4
  5. Yeh, why do you dislike alloy? I may be wrong here but wont a long steel frame be rather heavy? I agree what has been said about the stems though, as i am about 6ft1 and ride a koxx levelboss 1065 with a zoo bar and stem setup on lite guy forks, no stem stackers and i sometimes get back pains from being leant over so much, however the bike makes up for this as it is light as anything on the back wheel. (Y)
  6. I would go for the viz rim, as it has eyelets and is very wide, the koxx drilled and onza hog rims dont have eyelets and are very cheesy indeed! Also the viz rim comes in loads of colours. Sunn double wide rims are bombproof but heavy, do like biketrialler said and drill it if you get one. (Y)
  7. Hydraulic discs, particularly hope are prone to rubbing on the rotor constantly. My mates have had numerous hope discs from the old m4s to the mono mini (which he runs now) and that rubs slightly. Im not sure that there are any tricks to stop it rubbing apart from those mentioned, but if it is only rubbing slightly then i wouldnt bother with it, its not worth the frustration lol. (Y)
  8. Echo forks do seem to snap at the steerer, it happens with urbans too. I have heard that EZ trials are no longer in business so they dont answer calls or are very hard to get hold of? Anyway if you get to talk to them then you rightfully should get a replacement. :-
  9. Looks sweet, that blue wheel is lush! I would get a new rear tyre though as my sticky fingers slipped all over the place when it got even slightly damp :-
  10. I have the next model up from that one, the fsa platinum pro bb. I have had mine for about a year and its creaking and clicking like a mofo, but i cant be bothered to take it out or replace it because i have no money and it seems to be holding up.
  11. Yeh the rohloff trials chain is a nice option for geared trials bkes you can get it from bikedock. Its an 8 speed chain but should work ok on a 9 speed cassette. If you dont like that choice just go for an 8 speed kmc kool, thats what i run and its a nice chain :-
  12. As he said, even of you say that you have quit you always get the urge to just have a little go on your bike again or go for a ride with your mates. Trials is addictive and therefore hard to let go of completely, especially if you have been doing it for quite a while. If you feel that your body can take no more, then stop for you healths sake. However, if you are still keen to ride and look forward to getting back on your bike then carry on riding, even if you dont go for the big stuff all the time. The choice is really up to you. :-
  13. I dont think they will work, it might not be worth the hassle to run the king headset as the hassle to fit it outweighs the advantages of running it. In my opinion there is nothing wrong with internal headsets as long as you keep them tight. :-
  14. I first saw the JB zark frame in the biketrial magazine, and it looked sweet, but the new one looks even better i think. Similar to a woodman, but much better looking at it which is good because woodmans arent very good frames. However, the 'stark' frame looks sick :-
  15. Mint video with some big riding, that drop gap between the rocks was huge, and so was the sidehop from sam wheeler. The street at the end was good too :o
  16. Not that bad considering its your first video, but it was boring to watch. Most of the video was filmed on one set of mossy rocks, so if you include more locations it would be more interesting. Also, if you variate your riding more and cut clips so we dont see you balancing for ages it would improve the quality of the video in general. Not having a go, just giving suggestions to make your videos better.
  17. The link just loads the eengoedidee home page...
  18. Sweet pictures, looks like some mint riding went down there. Ps I cant see anything wrong with the quality of the pictures :o
  19. Im pretty sure that it will be out soon, the rumours started quite a while back now, as far as i know it is still being tested though, so it could be out anytime.
  20. When i got my koxx rear rim in the post i was worried too because i noticed a gap where it was joined and i thought the rim was defective or not going to be very strong. However, once it was built up the gap turned into a little line that you cant see through and i am still riding the rim now a year later with no problems. So yeh, build it up and ride it :o
  21. Lol i didnt know you werent allowed to sell things on new members chat, anyways it too obvious what you have done... :o
  22. I would either leave it on or swap it for a decent bashring, you will have less hassle that way. I wouldnt ride without any sort of guard unless you are a pro though, as you can say goodbye to your chain...
  23. Is it an 8 speed version or the bmx singlespeed version, as the 8 speed will fit (obviously) however the bmx one will not due to it being too wide. You should have checked before you bought it, it should have said in the description...
  24. I understand what has been said about the general standard of onza owners, even if it is a little unfair. Most beginners buy onzas because they are cheap and of good quality in most cases, however it is true about them abusing onzas a bit too much as look at ben slinger for example-world class rider who rode a t-lite then a t-pro and didnt break those frames because he is smooth when he goes big. In my opinion onzas are good frames/bikes but over abusing them is only going to cause damage like what has been seen here...
  25. Onza have definately moved up in the trials world from a budget company to a top company with loads of decent products on offer. I have lite guys and they seem to be ok, however i would like to upgrade them but currently have no money to do so. I would probably opt for the smart guys, although they are expensive but nevertheless a good fork. :o
