  2. Got my "iamnotsure" frame kit from online. As a fan of ductape, it will be present until I convince myself to paint it... Frame kit: Not sure yet the seller said it is by NZ bikes. If anyone knows, I will be delighted to hear for your opinion... Wheelset: Story with Extention Raid rear hub Tires: Kenda - not even sure which model Brakes: Old MT4 calipers, MT2 master cylinder with MT7 lever blades mostly identical parts on my previous bikes....
  3. still curious on this frame kit, it may look old but te fact it has tapered head tube which looks not so old... weird but interesting...
  4. stumbled online due to curiousity.... Amd hoping know more while it is still available... https://www.goofish.com/item?spm=a21ybx.item.itemCnxh.20.48b83da68q0nyB&id=959062086838&categoryId=0
  5. in my side, I stripped 2 Hope pro4 SS. Don't know much why I am so unlucky with those hubs. I am not a destructive rider but the hubs failed to me. I am on the state where trying on better alternatives without spending so much.
  6. haven't got any pinch flats for more than a year after I kept my tires at 38-40 psi, and some impact absorbing body language. But now I got few joint pains.... I just switch to TPU weeks ago, but my joint pains got worse....😁
  7. Might wait for long tem review on this. https://www.facebook.com/1692229164/videos/pcb.9547236861979923/1623001118344603
  8. the CST pro cyclops were solid for my opinion.... grippy even on wet pavement and tiles....
  9. My CST just took a rest for almost 3 years of learning.... Tried this very cheap tires with TPU tubes.... Saving money so that I can buy pizza for dinner....
  10. there are many 24 rims on aliexpress or even from extention and asian brands....
  11. i came from shigura (deore levers + old MT4 calipers) things that I did not like: 1. short lever blade 2. lever return is slow Then revived my old MT4 levers, felt so much better due to more leverage. Then few months later, modern MT2 master cylinder with MT7 lever blades..... Felt happier than ever. I was also thinking about some of the Chinese/Taiwan made brakes like Lewis, iiiPRO, Tanke, ZTTO and so on..... few had already tested and have positive results too.
  12. Been running my bikes with DIY tensioner to get rid of the loose/tight chain situation. Minimal on brand new chains and becomes noticeable after months. I wanted to use chain tugs only but I really hate the loose part when it slaps into the chainstays I can remember I do change my chains once it breaks: 1 year (KMX710) 10 months (KMC710SL) 8 months (z1ehx) and now this is about 5 months (z1ehx did not break yet). Should I prepare backup now, or better safe than sorry? Surely, I don't really know I broke chains faster each year. I am using steel chain ring and rear cog almost new as I took that video. Those shouldn't be oval guess. 11042025xx2.mp4
  13. stuck on this part.... 07042025B.mp4
  14. We will see after my night shift week.... break 1, send 2.... Nice!
  15. I am still trying to figure out how to time precisely doing gaps on a ledge. And I still have in my mind that multiple incidents where I gap on ledge with pefect chain breaks..... I will do try to improve my ways..... By the way, EXTENTION just sent me 2 pieces of freehub for free.... Seems glorious yet I am curious.... Thanks for the inputs guys!
  16. I am just an old fat, short, heavy weight, late boomer learner.... Just trying to progress...
  17. Yes, i made one. Just enough tension to get rid of chain slack. Too tight and I can't crankflip, too loose and it slaps on the chain stays. No chain tensioner; loose/tight chain issues.
  18. the hub is I assumed well sealed. Things that I feared on my experience now; freewheels made from steel hub shells stripped (Hope, Novatec, Morality) this one all made from 7075 (shell and freehub). if only both of these worlds come together....
  19. My pedal kick honestly is somewhat weird to see or maybe. I stopped doing gaps straight front, usually diagonal or sideways since the first time i stripped my hub and landed nuts over the stem. Or maybe I need to imrove my gaps more, it is just heartbreaking to break parts which impacts my pocket and enjoyment....
  20. How I wished, I am one of the guys who never ever had problems with the rear wheel hub..... other parts were reasonable and cost less than hubs....
