  1. i was bleeding my brakes few months ago, and I just found out that not all mineral oil (shimano/tektro/magura/any names) mix together. That made me, purchase a greater volume (one name) rather than small repacks. Then, I did flush the whole system and bleed fresh with out any remains of the old oil. Hope that gives a hint.
  2. haven't got those new one, but my previous freeriders only have 6-8 months life specifically the soles vs pedal pins. Upper parts were always intact..
  3. one thing that holds me back to try new stuff is when I broke some parts and sneak some $$$ without my wife noticing it...
  4. all I can think off is there is still air packs inside the system. In my experience, I did spent a bit for quite amount of mineral oil just to make sure everything is clean and new running in my brakes and compensate some amount to flash-out trapped air. Magura/shigura maybe a bit tricky to bleed but this also happened to me in shimano brakes. Levers too deep after being bike upside-down during travel...
  5. if only there is an easy way to adapt a tapered fork on 42mm straight head tube....
  6. 1 year and 5 months of being heavy and not smooth and not even effecient learner...
  7. it has been 2 years for this topic, how was the build? I am new to this page and I got a friend who owns the Extention POTTS. the frame may look like Arcade but it is not. Wheelbase is 965mm, head angle may be a bit different and I am not sure about the type/quality of steel being used. I was about to get one but I got a good price offer from the person who previously made those "extention" brand bikes and this guy owns the "CJBikes/HITO/Morality". So far, nothing to worry on my frame even I fell a lot and land so hard (literal trials and error). Not sure on the POTTS as my friend made his bike for display purposes mostly. 2 years and no visible scratches or wear, anyway seems Euan beat these bikes and still holds up. https://www.instagram.com/euanbeaden/?hl=en
  8. HI! I have seen this in an online shop and the price was waaaayyyy cheaper than original echo (least cheapest). Has anyone tried this? I am also waiting until it arrives, just curious how this pads with metal black plates compares to my current coustellier green pads. Rims already grinded recently.
  9. i am on Avid G3 from 203 to 180 since most recommends smaller due to I snapped few adapters and calipers. Stopping power still good for me.
  10. i was searching for the KMC 610 but non found. Instead KMC 710 pop out but with thin link. After that snap, I use nomal link now, and works fine. Next chain will be that Z1ehx, since 610 were no longer made
  11. just learning pedal kick from static to more than bike length.... then boom...
  12. Me, trying to re-ride my very first trials bike while waiting for my street trials to be fixed... 10122021.mp4
  13. IS mount brake calipers were rare here, I do have echo disc brake calipers but even the adapter to fit 180 is also hard to find. Hope mono trial will be similar to echo yet finding the adapter is another thing to worry.

It was just some spam. Gone now.

  14. recent updates! I managed to use 180mm rotor just yesterday, and just tonight I felt so sad. I did everything as proper as possible, torque, clearance, etc yet... or the calipers were already weak since it is many years old model of MT2.
  15. as with the current adapters I have now, 1 plain washer each side is enough to give room between the rotor and caliper. Otherwise I can get rid of those washers if I move the wheels a bit further back which I think will also affect my chain slack/tightness.
  16. about the pads, contacts and position, all were very much the same. And the same tiny spacers were used for enough rotor to caliper clearance. Pictures maybe not in perfect angle but i would say the same area, only that the caliper position is more forward with shimano adapter. Hope, other Shimano and taiwan adapters have snapped on me before. The Formula haven't so far, but curious on this type from shimano.
  17. I have been to few different names of brake adapters and snapped them off including the pricy one. I got the Formula (second hand) just few months ago and used without issues so far. Felt solid and heavier than those snapped. I was looking for similar as back-up but couldn't find one, instead I tried the shimano then arrived yesterday. Upon comparison, there is a slight difference in position, though clearance and centering were fine. What are the significant differences about the positions of the caliper?
  18. I was also thinking of trying some lighter forks with non-tapered tube. But nothing can be found in chinese online shops.
  19. Hi guys! I was curious on riding some old school model frame but with my existing parts from my Dirt Jumper bike. After build up, something looks weird and thus feels weird when ridden. BB height, stem too short, i only have suspension forks at 100mm travel. Will changing only the stem with longer one works or I must lower down the fork travel? I don't have the proper specs of the frame, please give your thoughts, Thanks....
  20. CJBike 24 Frame set: Story rims Novatec XD262SB rear wheel hub FUNN ridge crankset Chinese pedal pads (ztto, sixsixone clones) Vaid G3 rotors Shigura deore/mt2 Generic Vans grip parts mostly from Taobao, so I assume from China. Overall bike is solid for me,
  21. seems like 610 were really hard to find now. The Z1eHX indeed available but confused on the price. by the way, how about these Izumi chains as another options?
  22. what about 710 and 810, any drawbacks? 610 also not easy to spot here in my area (Macau SAR)
