  1. The jockey wheel ones, if I understand what you're saying, are just the older model of the Singulator. They worked perfectly. Still a million miles better than any heap DMR have tried. Go for it, highly recommened. I run the newer one with the guide wheels, but there's not a great deal of difference, and I know people who have run the older ones and been just as happy.
  2. http://free-du.htnet.hr/trials/frames.html Is that of any use at all? I've never used it for looking for a frame for myself, I just use it for looking at weird frames. I thought it was dead, but it's been updated in the last couple of months, so maybe not. May be of use, but suggestions from riders will probably be better. (Might be worth the riders on here putting one of those pages together, what you reckon?)

I'ts real easy if you have the tool. I'd strongly recommend paying a little more for a decent one though. The Park Tool recommended is a real good idea. Everyone I know that's had a chain tool has either broken or bent theirs so it now doesn't work. My LBS has a Park one, and it's used ten times more than any of ours, is still straight, and is also a damn sight simpler to use.
  4. I'd say it was more BT RAVen, but well built. Quality (on second look, after asking stupid questions) looks very nice indeed. Maybe a tiny bit of Zoo in there, or T-Rex (Coust I guess then), but I think it has enough to make it stand apart from the others. I'm strongly considering this as a new frame. How many people are riding them so far?

Very nice, good work. Nice to see something with a bit more flavour than the usual chrome. I like it. Are they custom stickers, or did you get them from ZOO! ?
  6. I like EndoFreak's first pic. >_< Very artistic.

Care to explain? (OT: Do you have a full res version of the picture in your avatar, it looks rather high)

Ingenius! I'd give it plenty of testing before you rely to heavily on it though. Must be pretty damn tight to stop it just turning? Probably not be so good for the frame it's clenched around though, maybe you could put something between the frame and the clip? (I thought rubber but that'd flex I guess)
  9. Is this the first lot of frames Toxsin have made, or has anyone had experience with them before? I'm rather interested, but a little skeptical. Are these Taiwanese catalogue frames, or are they produced just for Toxsin?
  10. I'd say all. Otherwise they'd be world reknowned and getting paid to ride bicycles! Ok, some people here do. I'm used to MBUk Trials forum, but you get my gist!
  11. Always liked those frames. Not too keen on the seat, but we all know what it's like when you get stuck with a part you don't particularly want, and the bar/stem isn't my personal taste, but that's obviously preference; It's about how it rides of course, but it gets a thumbs up from me :D :P
  12. I'd definitely suggest you keep the one finger braking up. I used to ride with two (three when I very first started, and still thought endos were cool :D" ) but realised it wasn't going to work when I started hopping. Two fingers on the brake mean you only have two small fingers on the bar when your brake is off, which makes keeping hold and stable very difficult, and you lose a lot of control.
  13. Never overheated my disc. Didn't think trials really had the right conditions. Hardly 2km descents dragging the brakes all the way! But maybe that's because my disc doesn't work all the well anyway so I don't notice fade as much :) Liking the Avid. Heard a lot about them before they were available here, but that's the first I've seen on a trials bike. Yummy.
  14. I know next to nothing about BMXs, but this is trials forum, so I think that should be excused! All good BMXs look bodged and ghetto, and that's shiny so it must suck! :) But it is definitely very ugly indeed. But I don't think companies should just stick with what they know. If the original trials riders had stuck with what they knew and their motorised bikes, we wouldn't be here now! And a lot of other companies wouldn't be producing either. I'm all in favour of something new... just not this.
  15. Looking good. Nice to see something new coming through; a little different to the others, and still looking competitive. How long have you been riding it? And who will be selling them? Look rather tempting :)"
  16. I preferred the Steve Hamilton section, but they are both amazing videos. :ermm: BMX is always cool to watch, maybe because I'm still amazed by basic BMX stuff, it all looks impressive, but the Federal segments I've seen have both had some crazy riding. Good stuff.
  17. First one I've seen built up too. Looking good, hope it rides well. :ermm: I'd strongly suggest you get a booster. The whole seatstay/toptube section isn't all that beefy on the Woodman26, and looks similar on the 20. I've had my frame about 9 months and both seatstays are now snapped, probably not helped by the fact I didn't run a booster and that section flexed quite a bit. Looks good though, nice one.
  18. (Y) I liked his style. He wasn't the best rider in the world, and was a little sketchy, but it was nice to see someone riding something a little different, with a little different style. I guess he caught the long-low-silver virus like everyone else :) Ah well, it's probably for the best. But I didn't know he was riding DropIn4?
  19. When did he leave Ashton? I'm living in the past I guess, but I wasn't aware he'd gone. Wasn't there long was he? (Did he go to Ashton, or am I remembering things that didn't happen again? If he didn't I may have to edit this post to say something like "Cool, nice one" so I don't look like a fool. :- )

I presume you can't copyright geometry? Why don't other companies just outright steal Koxx/Echo/Coust geometry and copy their designs? THey sort of do already, but I'm talking no alterations whatsoever. :- Not in the best spirit, but it sure would slow brand name markup. I don't mind paying for good quality frames, or good warantees or whatever, but like you said, deliberately making poor shaped frames just because they are going to be a cheaper model doesn't seem all so fair to me.
  21. Yeah, that's what I thought. I'll just go with the current one. A couple of people have posted things they've got "off the Echo website". Well here, the Echo website is full of broken pictures and dead links. Is there another site I don't know about? EDIT: Never mind. Either it's been updated since I last looked, or my browser was trying to display a cached version or something, it's fixed now. Thanks.
  22. Amazing. Very different to the sort of videos I usually enjoy, I guess because it was a ride made into a video, not riding especially for a video. Really good to see, and nice and sunny to; perfect for getting me pumped to ride! I like my Toxicity style vids usually, seeing people throw down new stuff, but watching people go HUGE on the basics is cool too, and a lot more inspiring than Danny Holroyd doing crazy bunnyhops. It's all trials though, can't fault it! (Y) Is the Koxx Days an annual thing? And is it a like open invite ride, like when people go ride London or whatever? Might be worth a road trip next year.
  23. I saw some of you guys talking in another thread about meeting up to ride in "the hall" this weekend. I didn't want to say there, it was too off topic, so I'll ask here instead. Have I misunderstood and you were talking about something else, or do you have regular access to that hall? Now that would be sweet (Y)

Looking good. I didn't have a problem with the old site, it's not about the design, it's about the products, but this one is very fresh and easy to use, nice work. My only (small) comment other than the ones you've already heard is the banner with the vids at the bottom of every page get a little annoying and clutter it a little, but that's just my humble opinion, and it really doesn't make any difference to the way the site works. Still a big thumbs up (Y)
  25. I'd say the Syncros. Liam's is very nice indeed. I run a Maxxis Minion, never had a pinch since I've had it, but given the choice, I'd go with the Syncros, much squarer and a lot grippier.
