I see where you're coming from Mark, but that doesn't mean the Government was slow to act because the people were black does it? Just happens to be them that were there, and them that suffered. If it was a predominantly white area in the south, I expect the aid would have taken the same amount of time to reach them. Remove grub screw in lever and the one in the caliper. Let the oil/water drain out. Submerge in water and move about, making sure all the air has come out. Beware of air getting trapped in places that might not be obvious, like in the cross-over hose. Then do the screws up while the brake is still under water.

Make sure it's thin grease or lubricating oil (but not WD40!!). It will also help to seal the piston, meaning less chance of leaks.

Did you put oil or thin grease on the piston before putting it in the lever? Have you made sure the slave cylinders are clean? Try replacing the spring in the lever or stretching it a bit. Make sure the lever body isn't distorted or bent.

The thing that always looked appealing with 24" bikes to me was that 'middle ground' between BMX and trials. But having a more 'trials' frame is missing the point a bit isn't it? I mean, who other than a small person would buy a 24" seat-less bike with flat bars?
